When I resampled a drumkit for a forum member here I realized that the new "Pro" drumkits have different mappings outside of the "main" playing Region (for GM DKs). They are almost mapped like some popular plugins like for example the default mapping in EZdrummer, but differ in a few keys. For example in the lower and upper regions on some keys on the "Pro" kits there are different kinds of snares and snare hits while the plugins have different hi-hat playstyles there (extending the number of hi-hat hits in these regions).
Does anyone know if these new "Pro" DKs have a known "official" mapping. I looked into a lot of different mappings of different plugins and hardware electronic drums but did not find any which has for example these snare hits (on these keys). Also KORG does not have any documentation for these DKs.
While I've already made a plugin to convert for example from EZdrummer to the new "Pro" DKs and vice versa, it would be more helpful if there was some kind of documentation in general. Not only for me but also for style programmers.
I also have to admit that the new "Pro" DKs sound really awesome, especially when using the extra variations and hits.
Mapping for the new "Pro" drumkits

I am wondering too.Vangelismusic wrote:I read your post and I was wondering did I miss something on the update? which are the pro drum kits that you mention?
Please remember, even if Ukraine is far from you, it's fighting for you now! The outcome affects your future. So, support Ukraine! By any means, or simply by raising your voice. Every bit helps. Stand with Ukraine! We all do.
It's nothing related to the update. The Pa5X has some new drumkits that have "Pro" in their name. If you play this drumkit you will notice it has different kinds of hihat hits and a few different snare hits below and above the main playing region and they are all with round robins. The mapping reminds me of the default one from EZdrummer/Superior Drummer, but instead of more hihat variations the Pa5X "Pro" drumkits have different snare, which I actually prefer, since it is a bit more versatile. Nevertheless I was looking for a known mapping, so I could easily remap for example the EZdrummer MIDI library to the Pa5X using something more "officiall". But it seems like Korg did their own mapping by placing the snares on These keys, so I need to adapt the EZdrummer mapping on these keys manually, e.g. by using a MIDI Note remapping plugin/script.
You can find them in page 2 of the drumkits.
I also considered letting a friend drummer play on his e-drums with these drumkits.

Also want to mention I am not really satisfied with the drum kits that the 5X has, especially the snares all sound dull and very similar to the 4X now if you load a good set from the 4x the keyboard is totally different, I wish Korg would of tailored the drums more like the Kronos but then that would need a lot of memory I guess.
