Is it possible to change power-on default settings on B2?
I would like to avoid having to change the SOUND and TOUCH settings and to disable the AUTO POWER-OFF each time I power-on the Korg B2. Is there a way to address these at the keyboard? Otherwise, is there an app that can offer outboard adjustments?

There doesn't appear to be any way to alter the power-on default settings for the B2.
Something that might be worth trying is to use a software tool like MIDI-OX, or Bome SendSX, to see if changing any of the parameters results in the sending out of specific MIDI SyEx messages, and then try sending these back to the B2, after a power cycle, to see if the changes can be made via MIDI. If external MIDI can be used in this way, then using something like a MIDI Solutions Event Processor Plus would make things easier in the long run.
The MIDI Solutions Event Processor Plus can easily be set up using free programming software, downloadable from the MIDI Solutions website. Each event identified above e.g. a SysEx command, can be programmed in as an event within a sequence of events. The MIDI Solutions Event Processor has 10 such sequence slots, whilst the Plus variant has 32. A sequence can be triggered by another defined MIDI event. The trigger could, for example, be playing the top note on the keyboard, or choosing a Sound would send out Program Change messages, which could also be used as trigger events in the sequence. It would thus be possible for different Sounds to use different settings, like Touch, Transpose, Reverb and Chorus.
In use, once programmed by the software, the Event Processor would only need to be connected to the MIDI Out and MIDI In ports on the B2, and derives its power from the MIDI connections.

Thanks for the ideas voip. Your reply made me realize that I hadn’t looked for Korg’s MIDI Implementation chart for the B2 series. I think I can handle it now with MIDI-Ox.
