Kronos editor??

Post by robbie50 »

And when will the Kronos Editor work normally again with Windows 11?

Is there any news yet about when a working "update" for the EDITOR will be released that works on Windows 11?

I thought it was a wonderful tool and I still miss it every day....

Please modify/upgrade.... :!:

MIDI Quest 13 runs under Windows 11, and supports Kronos versions up to the Kronos 3.

The Kronos Editor software is basically a custom version of the MIDI Quest software.

Exactly!
It's just like with the new "sounds": first FREE, then you have to buy them!
I expect Korg will make sure the editor also runs on Windows 11.

The Kronos came with this editor, do you have to buy it separately with the new Kronos?

Korg, please respond!

For the old Kronos editor to work with a K1/KX/K2 (it does NOT communicate with a K3), the Korg MIDI/USB driver must first be correctly installed and this can be tricky depending on your computer config.

I had Windows 10, the editor worked perfectly, but after updating to Windows 11, I only get the initial setup, and then the program won't start anymore...
Korg should have paid for a fix to get it working again, but they apparently don't want to.
Strange, the Kronos was/is one of their top instruments, but they're apparently leaving the first buyers out.
Paying for extra sounds, paying to use a different editor...
I don't think that's customer-friendly...
And there's absolutely no response from Korg to their (older) customers...

GREAT! [-X
