There are no specific SysEx commands for selecting variations 1-4, but
you can remotely select the various Style Elements, by sending Program Change messages
on the Control channel ( 83 Variation1, 84 Variation2, 85 Variation3 and 86 Variation4).

It's easy to convert these program change commands into SysEx commands for the Pa1000.

For example, sending the four program change commands via MIDI-OX as SysEx to the control channel
will sequentially switch between Var1, Var2, Var3, and Var4.

Great info, thanks. In fact, I originally asked about changing variations via sysex because I was unaware that they could be changed more simply via Program Change... that's actually better! :-)
