NAMM 2026

Post by dexman »

Not much in the way of new keyboards expected from Korg this year. There is one that is geared towards podcasters. Here is the URL to Korg's news page.

My guesses are that the Liano LIVE keyboard will be there.

The Kronos 3 will probably be on show.

The Kaoss Pad V with new features.

There's a new clip on metronome.

Plus there's the Filter Ark "toolbox" of filters.

Of the other stands, the ASP Leviasynth looks interesting. Akai's MPC XL has some cool features, for those that don't necessarily want to include computers in their workflows. Behringer have some impressive sounding keyboard products. There will be a lot of guitars, and guitar pedals.

It seems like the industry is slowly moving away from self-contained arrangers/workstations to MIDI hardware. 😐
If my memory is still intact, I think that the K3 was on display at NAMM 2025. Would Korg feature the same keyboard two years in a row? 🤔

Well, Korg have laid their NAMM 2026 cards on the table:

I'd forgotten about the Phase8.

As for the Kronos 3, it's currently in production, and is their flagship product. Korg have one of the larger stands at NAMM, so there might be room for it.

... we have the latest update on the MicroKORG, but still no MicroArranger II ...

All right. Who needs a bribe to make this happen?

A compact, full-fledged arranger that lets one make arranger styles right on the keyboard with no computer or tablet involved, and what the hell, with modern sound engines.

It should be possible.

It will be interesting to see what is/was sitting on Korg's table at the show. Maybe an attendee will record a video and post it on YouTube or similar platform. 🤔
