Keyboard sets 1234 PA 700.
I use my PA 700 strictly as a midi file player. I have about 600 midi files in the songbook and it works great! I have noticed that when you set a song up in the song book it defaults to keyboard set number one. Every song defaults to number one! My problem is that I cannot save keyboard set number two or three or four. I have not been able to discover how to do that.
Gear: Korg Tr76, Korg pa700, Roland E50, M-audio 49 Key Rig, Roland BK9, Korg Micro-X. Logic for audio, Cubase for midi.

I'm not certain this is what you're looking for, but it might be. From something I posted elsewhere:
The way to save a Style in the Songbook such that, for example, variation 3 will be selected as what will play when you first hit the Start button is to save the style as a Songbook entry, with variation 3 selected when you do that save. Then, once the Style is invoked (via the Songbook), and you hit the Start button, it will indeed start by playing variation 3 when you hit the start button.

Re: Keyboard sets 1234 PA 700.
After choosing the Entry, the associated Style or Song will be recalled and always Keyboard Set #1 will be selected and will be active.
If associated with a style it will start with keyboard-set #1 playing with that style-element you saved with the sb-entry,
even if the style was saved in memory with another style element. That is because with each SongBook Entry no style or song is saved. Only a reference or settings to a style or song are saved.
When editing songbook entries, references and settings you can change and save that entry with WRITE - and does not mean your style will be changed.
*
To save keyboard set numbers #2 - #4 edit the entry to write or to replace keyboard sets with new ones (see manual Pa700 page 121):
.....
3 Go to the SongBook > Write page.
4 Select the Keyboard Set > Write checkbox to save the new Keyboard Sets.
5 Choose a single Keyboard Set location to save the Keyboard Sounds to the selected Keyboard Set inside the SongBook Entry. After choosing the target location you can give the Keyboard Set a new name.
6 If you don’t want to replace the Style or Song, or the Voice/Guitar Preset, be sure the other Write checkboxes are not selected.
7 Touch the WRITE button to save over the existing SongBook Entry.
8 If you want to save more Keyboard Sets, repeat the above procedure for the other Keyboard Set locations inside the SongBook Entry.
kind regards

Re: Keyboard sets 1234 PA 700. SOLVED
Thank you for the excellent answers! Actually, before your answers arrived, I finally figured out how to solve my problem. I had never noticed the ‘WRITE’ button. As soon as I pushed the WRITE button, everything became obvious!
With Saint Patrick’s Day coming up tomorrow , most songs will be keyboard set number 1 to start off with, that is a piano, and then keyboard set 2. - a piano/accordion split so I can play my solos
. Then back to keyboard set number 1 for the verse!
