Korg Spring Sale New KRONOS Sound Pack Vol.2Zoom SALE KORG New KRONOS Sound Pack Vol.2 is it worth it?

Post by Lazarus99911 »

Hi! Hoping that somebody ist still around here, i‘d like to ask the ones who already purchased the new soundpack how you like it? Is it worth to buy it especially for owners of the non streamlined older Italian version. Is the additional sound content so good, that you would recommend to buy it?

However, it‘s on sale, at the moment you can get it for 200$s!

Appreciating you answers!

If you haven’t purchased any libraries from other brands, this might be a good deal.

One thing to watch out for is that the Italian F library pre-installed on your Gear will be downgraded to the LE version.
(Reinstallation required)

Since the highlight of this pack is the Italian F library, I personally think it’s better to purchase a separate library for the same price, depending on your needs.

I'm interested in updating my Kronos 2 with the new Sound Pack 2 but I'm overwhelmed as to how to do this successfully. I have Op sys 3.1.4 and the new software says you must update to 3.2.1. I also saw warnings on the forum about possible problems if you do the update on a Kronos 2. While I would like to keep access to some of the many combinations that I have created over the years, I could live with losing them if I need to replace everything in order to have enough memory for the new software. I realize that if I brought my existing combis into the new software that likely there would be different programs playing instead of my originals.
Does anyone or company offer doing the whole upgrade (including possibly adding additional memory) as a service. I'm trying to figure out if I want to attempt this upgrade or spend a lot of money to buy the new Kronos 3.
I appreciate any advice in helping me make a decision. I'm considering this at this time because the Soundpack is on sale.
Thanks

Maybe contact Francis from Narfsounds, he also is host of one of the best facebook Kronos sections:
I know from there he has helped someone to install this stuff remotely.
