I enjoy the STR-1 and especially the acoustic guitar - it does get a bit harp-like in the upper register but I haven't yet spent any time tweaking it to see what can be done to improve it. The mid range is fantastic and dynamic – it let’s your left hand come through. Not to say there isn’t room for improvement – and there are so many user refinements available at our finger tips, but I think many of these great Korg programs just require learning some of the performance characteristics of the actual instrument.Arend Groot wrote:You are right, very impressiveDaz wrote:Remember this STR-1 demo from Korg back in the day :

... that is the STR-1 Nylon Guitar Program E000 on our Oasys, pretty damn impressive if you have the playing chops. Still working on it myselfAs I wrote before, I am enjoying the STR-1 not only for guitar sounds, but you can make 'out of space' synthesized sounds, a lot with Tone adjust.
And on topic:
Some very useful presets, too much to discover in a short time. But right now I am using the stereo phaser preset 01 'Deep E. Piano' and the St Tube Preamp Modeling preset 01 'warm&full with a Wurlitzer prog from KARO combining with a Wurlitzer from MOD7.
I can tell you I am all way back into Supertramp
Here is a link to a one-off I did with the STR-1 Acoustic guitar a while ago. It was one of those moments when the instrument really moves you somewhere you didn't know you were headed. And later the realization that you really need to practice more or jump in and climb Mount Sequencer.

Back on topic I am really enjoying the new presets - always nice to have a breath of freah air to wake up the muse.
