Thank you embry0 for the screenshots!
So far it's like OASYS with some "minor" exceptions.

it doesn't work like that. Simple currency conversion won't work.

Korg (yamaha, roland, DSI, Moog) prices are not the same in UK / Euroland as they are in the USA.

after shipping, taxes and different regional policies,

I usually use as my rule of thumb: take the US$ prices, make that euro at 1:1 (which, on the other hand, could happen soon thanks to our portuguese and spaniard friends),

THEN apply market exhange rates to eur-->gbp

It always works, with all japanese and American producers.
You can obviously type faster on your keyboard than I can on my iPhone! Lol

Yep - they've taken the entire OASYS GUI (which was discontinued), then worked on it (which they said they wouldn't do) and turned it into a mass-market machine (which they didn't want do with the O!)...

But at the end of the day, the Kronos is just a cheap OASYS

and this hurt you?

i think that when one corporate decide to bring its best technology to a large market is not a negative thing (at least for all those who had no change to afford such technology before...)

I do my scales, I do my standards, I play blindfolded, I practice daily...

... in the winter I play keys 3 hours a day and write on a computer 6 hours...

... if I can't type fast, who can?

I could probably type awsedftgyhujkolpòà [the qwerty equivalent of a chromatic scale] double the wakeman bpm.

In summer when my hands are taxed by work I go slower (but can break any aftertouch sensor...)

BTW, Pepper:

the answer to your starting question [10 das ago] is:

wait 4 months, buy a Oasys for 2000 gbp

It sounds too cruel... :(

Let's hear and see KRONOS personally - only then we can understand the difference.

...er.. embryo...

are you very well connected to Korg press office,

or do you happen to be sitting near a real Kronos just now?

In the latter occurrence, I've gotta a couple (thousand) questions to ask you

hell i can make techno out of a casio keyboard @ walmart
is not enough to make bullshit techno tracks that remains in your old computer...

tracks have to reach masses (must be signed at labels and played from many DJs)

techno means evolution and the evolution comes not just from the sounds you use and comes also from the workflow you have when you create it...

EVERBODY does techno on cheap instruments, probably without even a monitor for earing what he is doing (judging from what techno sounds like)

I thought techno was played mainly on hoovers, microwaves and dishwashers.
