#philwilson & #SMK....
You're both asking for the ability to clear note data in a pattern instantly, we Already have a shift shortcut (pad 13 I think!)...
Just be careful if you''re in trigger mode that you've still got the right part selected....
Ask me how I learned That!!!

Thanks for clearing that up dude. I don't want it in a shift command...I really believe that this belongs as behavior setting for Part Delete. I like the idea of just going to that mode and hit a part and it's done.
Hey if Korg take this suggestion then we have a new slot for a really cool shift command. In fact Korg can clear up 2 new shift command spaces by doing the following:
9. Move metronome setting into global utility. There is no need to have it accessible via a shift command. If you can't figure out how to use a 4/4 kick as your metronome...

Oh how I'd love to have reverb as insert...

One thing that would make a lot more sense to me is having the sync out stop sending pulses/clicks when the Electribe is stopped. Now it just keeps sending out clicks no matter what. If it would stop sending out clicks when it's stopped it would allow the Electribe to capture and render audio stems properly from gear relying on the Electribes audio out sync (that are connected to the E2's audio in).
Another thing they just as well could improve here is adding swing into the mix.
It's as basic as it gets right now, which is slightly weird considering they actually designed and built the pulse syncs into the unit, and also have a range of other hardware products that can make use of it. :/

I have already had the following responses from an email containing my feature request list as above...

Hi Philip
Many thanks for your email which has been forwarded onto our Technical Support Department for them to respond back to you.

Hi Phill,
Thanks for your comments re the Korg Electribe 2. We have passed this on to the right people and hope that your suggestions will soon be implemented.
Thanks again and best regards,
Roger.
-------------
I would urge others to do the same, but where possible keep your features list
A. BE POSITIVE !!!
B. Onlyy talk about stuff that can clearly be fixed without extending CPU overheads of the physical hardware (hence I asked for different tempo offsets to get 6 bars at half speed rather then asking them to implement 8 bars...its jst not something that could be done elegantly with the amount of buttons etc that they have chosen)
C. try to keep it brief to only the ones you REALLY care about, if the signal to noise ratio gets too high, they will stop listening.
just my 2p's

I have my Volcas synced to my e2, if it stopped sending sync mesages when not running they wouldn't know what tempo to run at. I'm also delighted that the midi clock runs all the time, unlike on logic.

I was always told that you don't use reverbs as inserts because all elements of a song should exist in the same space. This may be an old fashioned view but it's one Korg seems to have agreed with on this unit. Having more that one master effect would be the best way to go for me. I think even my 1st Korg unit back in the early 90s could manage 2 master effects.

The reason I would like erase on a regular command rather than a shift command is for speed... if you make a hash of a part I want to be able ot bin it and continue recording as fast as possible...on the old EMX I would often hold SHIFT+Cue (erase mode in old terms) WHILST playing in the new version using the ribbon arp... this seemed like a genius inclusion as a feature as it let me correct stuff more or less right away. but a one click erase would be even better.
also...I forgot to mention on my wish lists... the pads should illuminate (pulse) in every mode as the note plays in trigger/mute/erase modes, unless muted. this makes identification of your parts much easier.

I see. I have the Teenage Engineering PO's hooked up, perhaps they're just having the bpm set to the last incoming info or something. If I go into the settings on the Electribe and change the polarity on the sync to low, the PO's stop responding (and stops playback), switch it back to high and they pick up immediately w/ the sync again. At least having the option to have the Electribe stop the clicks (or perhaps change polarity) would be great.
Electribe 2 Request - CPU LOAD display

Wouldn't it be great if there was a small percentage display showing how much load you're putting on the cpu with your current parts playing?

Just got another human response from korg, this time via product_support@korgusa.com
.....
Hello,
Thanks for your feedback. We’ve passed this along as per your request.
Sincerely,
Support @ Korg USA

seems like this is a real route worth exploring, sening in our feature requests in a polite manner and paying attention not to ask for *too much*

Hmm nah not if you like to use reverb as a creative tool. Sometimes you want an element to sound like it's in a different space.

How old fashion are you thinking? Guitar pedals have been around awhile.
The chip-nerds on here concluded in another thread that the decision was likely to do with CPU. Another master effect would require at least the same amount of extra memory.

One thing I REALLY REALLY want to see Korg update is PART MUTE. Include an option to change it so instead of it being a mode that you go into, it functions as it did on the old tribes - you hold it down and then a part to mute/unmute.
On the one hand I do like that you can drop multiple parts in and out without keeping a finger on it, but a limitation pops up when you want to play a part on the keyboard and bring in/out a part simultaneously. The only workaround is to use an external keyboard, or the touchpad (which is ok in some situations but not for accurate playing).
