he's not trolling. If people don't voice their complaints and voice them repeatedly Korg will never fix the issues and shortcomings with these new "electribes" Bad reviews and slow sales might be what it takes for Korg to take action.
People voicing their complaints on this forum won't fix anything though. The only way Korg will look into any issues is if people send them a direct email. Even though this forum is hosted by Korg, it is in no way linked to their customer service department.
It may not be directly linked to Korg, but Korg UK told me to post issues with the e2 on this forum and they'd be picked up on by Korg. Rich Formidoni is regularly on here, so is the guy who invented Karma. What we write on here gets seen by people at Korg.

EDIT: I quoted the wrong message but you get the idea!

I think you two should collaborate on some music. For real. Ted, make some E2 loops and dutchcow use them to build a track with whatever korg sampler you have. . Or something like that. Unless you're both enjoying the argument, why not take the opportunity to connect. Obviously both passionate people :)

Dutch - the stems from any track on my soundcloud page are yours for the asking. I'd love a remix!

Hey I gave your stuff a listen. Some real nice work in there. Loves the Double Naught Spy song. Did you get the name from that Beverly Hillbillies episode?

I have contacted Korg many times and all they told me was to go complain at my local music store. They didn't even reply to the contents of my mails. Too lazy to deal it I think.

It's an even bigger gripe that Korgs communication is so bad. We have to reply on people like James Pullen for news. Why Korg couldn't just post on the webpage or E2 support page is beyond me.

If this new firmware ever sees the light of day and actually fixes note decays and fx tails i;m first in line to buy one back. Till then I keep my money where it can still make Korg change stuff; on my bank account and not theirs.

Korg has to update the DSP if its too weak or provide a decent firmware, if they can't do either I will not buy any Korg stuff again. I've always learnt that a proper consumer speaks with his or her wallet.

And I don't care if it's cheap, even if the E2 was $50, I would expect more. A proper finished product, one that builds on its predecessors rather than jumping backwards and sideways.

Guess my wish is that all consumers are picky and fight for their rights rather than lay back and let companies screw us over. I hoped to start a revolution but all I got was a filthy Korg shirt

You're one of the few that seems to understand me here.

I am not against the E2, I am against giving big multi million dollar companies money for an unfinished and badly tested product.

Korg needs to release a properly tested product and not rush an unfinished box to the market and not even communicate to their customers what and when things will be fixed. We have to hear it from James Pullen instead.

I don't think that is professional at all. And even more so, early adopters who bought in December now have had to wait over 6 months now. I don't think that is good customer service or support. Also telling people that take the time to email them their issues and worries to go back to the store they bought their E2 is not very good.

At the very least Korg's online support could've done something with these complaints rather than sending your customers back to the shop their bought it. As if the shop can sort out the firmware fails.

Has anyone here seen any officiel Korg communication about the E2's firmware flaws/bugs and what of the pretty big list they are planning to sort out and what not?

There are loads of people out there loving it, making good music on it, why spend your time trying to stop people from potentially having that experience? If the worst comes to the worst and they hate it as much as you then they can always return it.
Why do some people like ice cream and others don't? You have missed your calling as an amateur psychologist

I'm sorry if I have offended you in any way, shape or form. Not all shops allow for a refund if you bought it in the store instead of online. I'm merely doing my civic duty.

Thanks - I sure did! Good eye for antique sitcom references.

it will spread the word of the issues and strange limitations these boxes suffer from and hopefully hurt sales and Korg's reputation which is probably what it will take for them to actually right the ship.
Unfortunately this doesn't work in this kind of prize region the electribes operate in. Look at the Volca's series. In my eyes they are nothing but cheap plastic garbage and Korg better worked harder on the electribes instead, but there are apparently loads of people craving for anything as long as it has an analogue sticker on top.
Similir with the electribers. Waited too long (10+ years) for a new series or a groovebox with an affordable prize.

That's a crock. The Volcas are a great value. Word to the wise: You are getting very close to delusional when you start thinking that everyone in the world is stupid except you.
