Hipster in the Sky is song #1 on my Playlist:

100% Kronos
Kind of David Benoit-ish, which is a compliment. To my ear, an acoustic piano melody track would finish it out nicely.

thank you, that is a flattering compare.

you read my muse,,, after the angelic choir passage, and before the cymbal ride 4 bar ending, I was noodling on a 30 second piano solo.

I couldn't pull it off, due to my broken wing. I can always return , add tasty acoustic piano.

I was also looking for finger snaps on 1 of the drum kits.

you know, hipster snapping his/her fingers on beat 3/1, esp on the cymbal ride ending.

cool you listened ! I like the analysis.

It's been years since I tried to make an original composition. I knocked out this simple sequence this afternoon. Please be gentle! (Disclaimer: Done on a Triton).

I imagined 3 friends meeting for dinner or drinks at a lounge or restaurant, each arriving separately, and engaging in conversation. Each friend's voice is a different piano program. And of course, the keyboard player is the last to leave the joint.

The simple drum track was inspired from watching "How the West was Won" today and listening to the shuffle-like rhythm of a horse walking which aligned well to a triplet 8th note quantization.

You're here on Kronos thread. Perhaps you could put your post on Triton thread.

Thanks for the suggestion. I posted it here because this is the one thread in this entire forum dedicated to sharing user compositions. And knowing this is in the Kronos section was the reason for the disclaimer.

Well thanks for listening and for your kind comments, they are appreciated. I was certainly dipping my foot in the pool but not yet having a swim with this sketch, stretching an 8-measure sequence into 2 min 44 sec by looping all tracks and alternately selecting track MUTE and PLAY during playback. Just like it sounds! Thanks again ;)

Wow that's impressive, the variety, expression, and authenticity you get from just the one combination. And of course, well-performed!

You could easily create one thread on Triton section !
I've created one for you : http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... p?t=123129

The preferred place for these posts comes down to whether you are primarily 1) promoting your music, or 2) promoting the keyboard used to make your music. The answer for this topic is probably both.

But what if a user composition is made using several Korg instruments? Where then should that be posted? Consider this video posted yesterday on the Korg YouTube channel of a song and tutorial that makes use multiple Korg products: minilogue, monologue, volka keys, volka fm, volka drum, volka sample, and nu bass https://youtu.be/SGDhbUH7gwI?t=282

What we need is a place to post "original compositions that make use one or more Korg instruments."

Scanning through the forum index we indeed already have a good place for that. It's in The Creativity Section "Promote Your Music Online". That's where I'll post any user compositions going forward. I have created the post "Fall Friends" there, should the moderators wish to delete my previous posts here to maintain the Kronos-only sanctity of this thread.

Chill out from the complex world and relax to my 12 original compositions.

My playlist features the best of what I call ' chill '.

What I find cool and unique about Kronos is that it is a natural for creating 'chill ' instrumentals.

Karma Can't Wait is song #1.
Find a Silver Lining is song #2
Nuclear Moon is song #3
..and so on:

A word with many connotations "chill" - a style, a mood, an instruction. A nice collection here. "Dreamer in the Clouds" is perhaps my favorite. Though "Dream State" also is up there - I like the piano part and the nontrivial chord choices and progressions. It is a track that captures the essence of dreams which can be soothing and ethereal, or tense and dramatic, morphing from one to the other from moment to moment. Great work & thanks for sharing.
