The OPXII is one of the very few softsynths, which I like as much as my hardware synths. It's worth every cent spent for it.
Synthguy, I liked your first update.
Perhaps looking at OPXII too would be useful, since the famous bank offers a lot of well known 80s reference sounds. Never thought of that before.

Jim, I had thought about checking out the OPX page, and did a few weeks ago, but had trouble finding the old mp3 demos. I thought they had dumped them all, but I finally took the time to go back in and dig for them, and they are great examples to program from. I think I will bounce back and forth a few times between the OPX library and YouTube, and see if I can cull together some of the best of both. Since many bands used presets or tweaked them a bit, many of these OPX sounds will be perfect for a lot of hit analog synth patches.
And along the way, work on some of those iconic sounds like Edgar Winter's Frankenstein sounds, Keith Emersons Modular Moog patches and Pete Townshend's ARP 2600 and organ goodies. I won't be forgetting my proggy friends, and will be trying to capture the sounds of Tony Banks, Rick Wakeman, Patrick Moraz, Eddie Jobson and many more.
One more thing. I'd highly recommend getting the KORG expression pedal, the half damper piano pedal and one more footswitch. USB pads too. The Kronos is an extremely powerful synth, and having as many controllers as you can plug into it is worthwhile for getting as much expression out of it as possible.

Hi,
I am loving these samples for the motif.
Has anyone managed to get them onto a Kronos yet?
Would it be feasible for me to buy a motif, buy the sample set and the sample them into the Kronos?
I would appreciate any help on this subject please.
Many thanks
Daffy.

I may be wrong, but as I understand it, the sounds for the Motif keyboards are all just patches carefully programmed. I'm making some attempt to recreate these on the Kronos by hand, though it's a slow process because I keep wanting to make my own patches, as I find them to be more interesting. But so far, everyone has liked my patch bank, so I'm keeping at it.

I bought also The
OP-XII... incredible machine
Also bought the extrem sample converter. SF2 its allright. Could someone tell me what is the best setting to sample the
OP-XII?
Hold, Release, how many keys and which keys?
I have problems to find the right looppoints to stretch the sounds or the size of the sample is to big... Could it be easier to loop with kronos? Id dont find a way...
Just sorry I'm a absolute beginner in sampling...
One word to rebuild sounds from
OP-XII with the engines in Kronos...
No engine in Kronos could exactly rebuilt these fantastic sounds. Nearst setting in Polysix ( but just one OSC)

Oh haha that's quite a diff! And I actually sampled an OB-X last week but since it doesn't have midi it would've been a bitch to do with ESC.

you have to sample with Audio out ^^ But Sampling with audio you can use The Kronos. I've sampled some sounds of my Trinity V3 its very easy but needs time ^^
Midi only sends Mididata no Sound Data ^^

LOL I know, I just meant ESC wouldn't actually send midi notes to the OBX. I already sampled it, but using Logic and Kontakt, not ESC.

Lol...okay
Are you satiesfied with the results?
When I sampled my Moss the original sounds lost min. 30% of the Original, Power, pressure, width LFO.
