After having a PA600-900 then a Yam S970 I went back to Korg because I could not get on with the yam OS so I bought a PA4x. Now I am totally confused because I came back purely for the OS and out of the blue it all got changed the way it would be set up. I am perplexed and frustrated and annoyed and to top that Korg give us a midi to style converter which isnt really brilliant and the result can only be played on a 4X. What happened did all the Korg engineers abandon ship.I like the 4X but I dont like the OS. One can upgrade and expect to have to learn a few new features but this is a nightmare for me because I am not that techie and took a long time to learn the Korg way now I.m shot.
Negativity is a disease of the brain. Positivity is owning a PA4X
Still no UI resolution improvements.
I don't think they will ever redesign the ui and change the resolution to native display resolution.
It is s shame but is true. We all understand it is not a pa3x and we expected to see that, not to see the old ui copied to an instrument that has a new display that can.... See the update menu. You will see how the image is ment to look...
I said it and i say it again. For this price we should get something more.
Pa300 has the same issue (if i remember right) but at least is a cheap instrument...
Ps. Vex described very well every issue on pa4x. The man knows what is talking, but no one listens.
Gook luck!

Personally I don't see any issue with the UI, in fact, I like it, but that is my opinion however some owners don't like it.
There are bugs that will be fixed and if you read through you will see Korg Italy's "Paolo" respond to much of this.
I felt the same as you for a little while but having now played one I have ordered mine and, personally, I have no concerns.
I stress that these are my views for what they may be worth to you.
Cheers
Pete

Only Korg has the answer to that and so far in the last 16 years, they have always told us as soon as it is ready
We are all patiently waiting.....
