That's exactly right. The samples have an 'original' key that they're assigned to when they're built. The "original mapping" is showing what key you'd press in the program to trigger the sample in it's 'home' key so to speak.holdsg wrote:map is awesome, what does "X2 original mapping", where X is D, C, etc.?
It's all in the manual, but the long and short of the story is that you can selectively load sounds. If you open the PCG and load the programs and Combi into the next free available slot instead of loading a whole bank at a time, you get better control of where things get loaded.Corch wrote:A newby question here. When I want to download these PCG and sample files. How can I prevent erasing/over writing my current programs, combi's and global settings???
I should read the manual first. Sorry.enigmahack wrote:It's all in the manual, but the long and short of the story is that you can selectively load sounds. Don't just load all, but selectively load programs and combi into whatever banks you want, just be aware you might need to update the combi to point at the appropriate programs, and then the same thing for the samples as well.
I am also struggling with this. I unzipped the file on my computer and then loaded the unzipped files to my memory stick. The Kronos didn't see these files when I looked at my flashdrive. So then I copied all off the unzipped files to the flash drive. I can see all of the files now but don't know if I am supposed to use Multiple select for all and then hit load. Anyone help with this?Olaf wrote:Could someone help me with loading the UFenigma.zip into my Kronos
Thanks
Load the samples by loading the .KSC file. (Not the _userbank.ksc since the latter gets pulled in by the main .KSC)J.S. Bach wrote:I am also struggling with this. I'm getting the same error. + uninstalled EX19 I assume it relies on samples I don't have but don't know what to do about it. I have a Kronos 2-88 about one year old.DaveKeys wrote:Thanks for this! Still a bit new to the sampling side of the Kronos.
I'm getting an error message when I try to load the samples: 'KSC is incomplete due to uninstalled EXs: EXs 109? Can anyone explain why?
Okay - I made this back in the day when I didn't know which option to select and such. The samples themselves are stored in the userbank - you can completely disregard this error.J.S.
