Even 3X to 4X I am astounded by the sound improvements - drums are fantastic and even the "old" styles sound very different with the new sounds.

To clarify my comments on the 4x display...the content of the display and the layout is fine and obviously capacitive is better than resistive.
My complaint is that the image quality is poor and that a poor image is inappropriate for a keyboard of this quality and price. I don't doubt for an instant that the 4x is a better instrument than the 2x and perhaps better than its competition overall. That said, the competition provides a better image.
As always, I mean no disrespect for anyone's opinion but I think we sometimes defend Korg when we should be pushing them to a higher standard. I too am a satisfied customer for the most part but I think they could have done significantly better on the 4x display image quality. Did not have to be HD but should have been better than what it is.
And as I said before, I do realize there is a lot more to a keyboard than the display.
Once again, I appreciate the feedback from all of you on this subject.

I agree on you where it comes to image quallity... Many of the used icons are really bad..Ron wrote:To clarify my comments on the 4x display...the content of the display and the layout is fine and obviously capacitive is better than resistive.

But then, who cares about image quallity of the screen when buying a keyboard.... I would worry about things like, soundquallity, functionallity, accessibillity and ease of operation...

The only thing i would improve on this screen is the icons of the instruments in the selection, and the icons of the keybeds(STS). But the rest of the interface is top knotch functionallity....

And on this screen, maybe the knobs, but that would not really make a huge difference...
The color settings and all could be exchangeable by offering several different collored layouts, but then again, the current colors work quite well...
Inpersonally prefer this interface above the Kronos interface, as on the pa4x i can do everything with my finger, while on the kronos i often ned a styles to be efficient (tough the kronos does look really high end)
