As always,

Korg is there to rapidly offer updates for their products as soon as bugs are found. This is once again really appreciated and a proof Korg is a great company.

Now...

Here is personally what I would really want in the next update (tee-hee) :

1) The possibility to program a User-defined Velocity Curve in Global Mode.

2) The possibility to define what appears by default as the Quick Layer instrument and Quick Split instrument (maybe in Global Mode too).

Nah, some people are just plain PERFECT and don't make mistakes (yea right).

Anyone who knows software / hardware development knows defects are a part of life. In order to attain a Six Sigma rating of defect free software, a company would have to spend Millions and Millions of dollars and the cost of the product would soar.

What separates one company from the next is how they react and respond to those defects.

Korg responded and reacted by releasing a fix patch pretty quickly IMHO. So a THANK YOU is BIG TIME in order.

I know some guys at NASA and the European Space Agency that do that type of development...and yes millions....

Wow, thank you Korg. This update to last great update came rather quickly as compared to "others". I cannot believe the last two updates have gone so smoothly...super exciting. I humbly thank all of you out here for making this forum so interesting, insightful and intelligent. Also, I do sincerely thank all of you who have helped me Korg issues before; and I certainly endeavor to help when I have some small contribution.

Sharp, it was so disappointing when Korg stopped the phone tech support.
Over the years it was so good....but this forum more than makes up for it!

I am not at the level of many of the forum members here in any way, however, I am 58 and have been doing keys since the late 80's. Never...have I seen a keyboard like my original Kronos stay up to date before as this is. Its a testimony to the company to make these upgrades available to 5 and 6 year old boards. I am also a Kurzweil guy and they to try to stay current and valid with their older boards. That being said.... be happy that your in a good keyboard and it hasnt lost 90% of its value in 2-3 years and if thats niot enough... look at its flexibility. Now compare it to the latest and greatest Yamaha or Roland.

Like I said, I am 58 so memory goes in and out alittle. I meant to post also that I did the upgrade and it went perfectly. No Issues,...... As usual.

Consider me grateful also. I've had my k88 since 2011. Every time there is a new update it's like getting a brand new board.

This is really quite remarkable. How many free updates is that? Easily the best workstation in the industry, and it's made better because of Korg's continued support!

One thing they definitely should do that they don't do is make replacement buttons easily available. They wear out and every approved repair person I go to says they are unable to purchase replacements and have to jury-rig something.

Assuming you mean the actual tact switch (and not the plastic cap that goes on top), then you need to find a different tech.

The tact switches in the Kronos are a readily available Alps switch which can be obtained for less than a dollar each. From memory they are rated for around 50,000 operations, so if they've stopped working now you've either used your Kronos a lot, or they just need a good clean

Took 5 mins. Works like a charm. The KARMA issues in Quick Layer/Split are gone.

Well I'M pretty stoked that the update to 3.1.2 seemed to go pretty seamlessly on my Kronos 2 Platinum Edition.

Anyway, this is NOT a big issue (or is it?) but someone should let Korg know that they forgot to include the p.d.f. of the "KRONOS_Update_and_Restore" document in their latest update zip file. I'm sure it was just an oversight.

Just sayin'.

Where can we find the release notes as these are not included in the zip file ?
