I got an On-Stage Heavy Duty Folding Z Stand KS7350 for it, and I was wondering if there are any issues with the points at which the keyboard sits on the stand being the black metal parts that curve around under the front and back of the board, rather than the keyboard sitting on its own little rubber feet. I'm guessing the answer is no, especially since I put the little rubber strips on the bar where the Kronos makes contact. But any thoughts from those who have this keyboard and that stand. It feels really solid and 'safe'. Thanks for any thoughts. I had an M3 88 that I used on the same model stand, and can't recall where that board sat on the stand (I sold it to a coworker's son who is in a band). I don't gig...the Kronos will stay in my home in my music room.
Yeah, I did the exact same thing you did... waited for FEDEX to drop mine off, and made the delivery driver wait until I took it out of the box, plug it in, and demo it- although he didn't really mind that much- before I signed for it. After all, $2900 investment on a machine of this calibre, you want to make sure it works! (I got mine on a 'scratch-and-dent' sale, with full warranty)
It's been somewhat of a learning curve trying to master all the ins and outs of this machine- 9 synthesis engines! Karma, RPPR. This thing is LOADED with all kinds of goodies that I haven't even touched yet.
It's also a heavy machine, I had to literally take my office chair, pull it up on the seat and wheel it into my studio room to get it onto my x-pattern keyboard stand. (I'm pretty old, been a musician for over 40 years.)
What I want for mine- an UPS, a second SSD, and an external HDD (which I understand will have to be formatted to 32-bit).
I can certainly understand your excitement over your machine, I know I still am, and I've had mine almost a month. It's kept me pretty busy.
Here's something else you might want to know- you can import sf2 files into it, I have been going crazy lately with Extreme Sample Converter, ripping voices from my Korg Legacy Collection instruments, and importing them to the Kronos- just be sure that you don't overload your memory with too many ksc startups, cause that'll eat a ton of your 3 gb of ram, and you don't want that.
