Don't forget the hardware problem that occurred to my Pa4X.......that is making me suspicious about quality control


According to the technical department its not a big deal the key problem that happened.

"The robot probably did not apply the right amount go grease under the key"

That was their answer and I am wondering.........what else did the robot forget to do in the keyboard.....???who can assure me that everything else was done right?

On the other side the sales department is forwarding a replacement,but I can say that both of them were very helpful..at least for the moment.

Playing my friend's pa4x 61 yesterday, i noticed that the black keys need way more pressure to activate the aftertouch than the white keys. Is this a general issue or only his unit?

(my triton classic doesn't have this issue, even after ~16 years...)

Well, I have a great NEWS, Today, in the store there i,m working (MUSICSTORE) Customer openly asked me, (I HEARD THAT THERE IS BUGS IN KORG PA 4X)

What can you say about that?

And KARMA, please , just do not ignore this problems, Some times i just wonder if you are working for the company.

This is a problem, I do not care if you are just playing on board styles, Not programing Sounds/Samples/Styles/Midis etc, I,m working 24/7 on this instrument, and YES ITS BUGY!

It,s not safe to play whit it,

is it a Shame to ask for a Working OS from us, if so, i,m giving my KB away for free .
I do not want to send some seriously bugs on the KF, last time i dis so, Some people was not so glad!
I like to use KORG Yes, but OS is something that is infected and not safe, So please try to understand one thing here, I,m A KEYBOARD PLAYER PROGRAMMER OF SOUNDS AND STYLES! That means I'm using it full 100%.

Thing i would like to have in new OS is that when we swich trough keyboard sets banks (factory, user, direct) with "user/direct" tab... last keyboard set selected in ither one of three banks stay memorised and selected while presind tab. Now its always set first bank

Actually the only place where bugs on pa4x are discussed is on this forum... and so far i have not seen more then a handfull of people having these bugs...

So they must be much less severe then you may make them look?

Sure there are some bugs, but how many Pa4x users are directly affected by them?

Sure these problems and bugs need to be repaired by Korg, and sure its taking them a long way, since it seems obvious you have told them how to reproduce the bugs on each and every korg, have you? If anyone tells korg how to reproduce a bug, they can easilly repair it...

But if things are more random, witouth logfiles of an activeted problem log, they will have a hard time even figuring out whats wrong..


Now lets all wait and see what the 2nd May patch will actually do?


The only thing i see as a very bad thing, is Korg not having a place where to directly discuss these problems with customers... thats a huge fail from Korg Italy... that and the fact that obviously Paoalo is much more restricted then before..

Well, I never ignore problems (not sure I understand what you meant by that) but IF I did work for Korg, then I'd immediately fix all your problems for you and send you a free Korg pen and drink holder!!!

As for the screen lock issue - Korg service will fix it easily - ref: donM

No missing MS as far as I know, I've loaded all my sounds plus other sounds from over 50sets,and all work great...this guy is messed up I guess......

Freezing problems are more than you imaging though,even while saving a realtime mp3 recording under the same name or second/3rd time....
plus all other bugs!!!

I watched the first video and I agree with this guy for the problem with loading single samples.
I reproduced this problem with some different set/samples in both Pa4X and Pa900.

Guys,loading programs that use multisamples/samples doesn't necessary means that they have to have different multisamples/samples.They might share the same multisample or samples as well.....Do you know exactly which program uses which multisample and which samples apart each multisample?
I have tried a huge number of sets,from different models,loaded idividualy sounds ,and everything works great......I try not to use duplicated multisamples or renamed ,so I generally check these things and that is something that has't happen to me at all I can tell.
I also think that Pa4x has nothing to do with dropped out samples you might noticed that are missing.I believe the guy who build the set from which you are trying to load the sounds,didn't have enough memory when he loaded or saved that sounds on his set.
