As reported elsewhere, CDG lyrics get stuck on the same song while the songs themselves work normally.

Hi to all,

I have this bug from previous OS versions and it is still present on V2.0. I have a pa4x international version 61 keys.

Here is it. This bug is present in style play mode when switching between keyboard set sounds. If you want to reproduce the bug, here is how to do it.

Select a piano factory sound on upper 1 slot
Play a chord with pressing sustain pedal
Select a keyboard set sound saved in mono mode (any mono L R or simple)
Stop pressing the pedal
Play the sound and you will hear the sound bugging. To get back to normal, press shift and start stop.

I cannot reproduce what you are showing on your video but then I do not have the custom sounds/keyboard-sets/styles you have

Check the STYLE PLAY>>TRACK CONTROLS>>MODE for the "poly/mono" settings

Thanks for your reply. I noticed this bug is not happening with every sounds. I have tested with factory piano sounds. I am sure if I save or create new sounds this will still happen. Its only happening when you select sounds from keyboard set. I will make another video and show you everybody could reproduce the bug.

I cannot get this to fail despite finding it a very odd thing to do "holding a polyphonic sound whilst switching to monophonic sound!!" - what did you want it to do?

I copied your second example exactly - my PA4X played the Distortion Synth correctly for both the piano and organ example.
Remember that the UPPER sound parts' modes are stored in the KEYBOARD-SET (i.e. mono & poly settings) so sustaining a poly sound whilst switching to a mono sound would certainly not be expected to work smoothly.

Also PA4X does not have smooth sound transition like the Kronos although is not bad when switching KEYBOARD-SETs.

It is important to use KEYBOARD-SETs and SONGBOOK etc and everything gets loaded the way you expect.
PA4X OS has changed - it is NEW and different to previous models.

I understand but The thing is that this bug was present in previous OS and still here in OS 2.0.
This morning, I have tested the same thing on my pa600 and I haven't encountered the problem at all.
For me it is not something odd because I use mono sounds a lot (solo sounds) and Im always switching between for example piano sounds and a solo sounds, for ballad songs for example. Now that Im able to reproduce the bug anytime I want, I could avoid it but you are human and you can forgot to release the sustain some times. And I even use sustain on mono sounds too.
I will ask to a friend too if he can reproduce the bug. Thanks Pete for you to have tested .

I too have a colleague I can ask to try this but seriously I tried and copied exactly what you have on your video example and it worked correctly - I didn't get any weird sounds.

Thanks Pete . May be it is only on my keyboard? I hope not lol. I have tried with 2 sustain pedal models and have already formatted the OS.

So I have asked to my friend to do the exact same test and the same bug as my pa4x appears. So it looks like global I think?

If you re-boot after one CDG, the cache clears and the next will play as selected with the correct lyrics. Certainly not a convenient work around, but it works.

DIRECT style bank

DIRECT style bank. If the tool does not turn on within a few days DIRECT style banks are EMPTY. They are deleted !!!!! Big mistake !

Direct access works perfectly in Version 2 - Korg have moved the DA configuration link setup to GLOBAL mode.

There is no bug unless you are having a different problem?

Please explain further.

Not sure if this is a songbook's bug itself or the songbook editor's bug,but here is what i found: After updating to V2, i combined both the internal songbook and my custom songbook via songbook editor and then load it on my pa4x as usuall.
What i noticed was that on some entries, the 3rd and 4th STS had switched names,but the sound was the original.
Also,all layers that were muted on all STS are now umutted.
This happens on some entries only....

Another strange thing that noticed is that sometimes,when searching for an entry,the resault shows generic error,or missing style,
and last small bug i guess is that all styles that used the old STANDARD KIT program sound,.now aren't adressed to the GM standard kit or Standardkit 1 for example,or any other factory drumkit program,but they stay empty,this is not normal for styles that use factory sounds,right?

TESTdirect style bank .:
Set up the DIRECT style folder.
Turn off the tool. Leave it off for 5 days.
Then turn on the tool and DIRECT STYLE Banks will be empty !!!!
Favorite style banks will be OK
Direct style banks will be empty.
Then you must repeat the direct folder selection.


I turned on the tool on the stage and the DIRECT Bank styles were empty. were not


My DIRECT style bank is in a KORG disk. No Korg HDD but Korg disk (approx 1GB Korg memory)
When backing up SAVE ALL - the DIRECT STYLE folder - style bank does not back up!
SET backup includes factory style and favorite style (DIRECT style - NO!), Fact.performance, voice user, max audio, global, PAD fact + user, PCM data ....
But direct style bank NOT.
