It suggests a rarely mentioned goodie I have been using to add a feeling of motion to the acoustic piano which is to add a small amount of phaser effect - just a skosh, else will sound synthetic.

Your opinion is noted, but all I get from your post is one subjective reason why you think the German Dark sounds “WAY better” than the Berlin. Why should I just trust you? I would like to know what adjustments a sound designer might make to a piano patch, and why. What are the effects of the those adjustments?

Bpoodoo’s link about EQ is more objective and helpful for someone wanting to learn how to tweak a piano patch. But something more specific to the Kronos would be more helpful to readers of this forum. That’s what I’m fishing for.
