first of all, thank you all for the great reactions. The downloads are sky high (much higher then i expected) and it's great to see all the reactions on the different channels (forums, youtube, facebook, etc).

Regarding the dream pianos sound:
That's my favorite too! I like it that much that i even created a demo with just the dream piano sound as main sound for that demo. The second demo below is the Ambient Piano, that is also a piano sound i really use a lot. The second demo shows how i use that sound.

here they are:
Program: Dream Piano
Song: BT - Flaming June + Train - Drops of Jupiter

Program: Ambient Piano QR
Song: Hans Zimmer - Time (theme from Inception)

For the people that contacted me for a donation, thank you, i really appreciate it and as promised in the manual, a Melliflous bonus package with 30 Songs for your songbook and 28 keyboard sets based on the sounds of the Melliflous sounds have been sent to you as a thank you gift from me.

Short answer is partly Yes! 8)
I Tried this soundset on my PA1000 and I can say that the samples will not allways match (specially It G.Piano that are only in PA4X).
If You like them You can change and choose the samples what You like, it will be not a simple work.

Mellfilous is in the house! I went through some of the sounds and I love it already! They're VERY inspiring. I also liked the idea of 'Wet/Dry' categories very much so. Because of this, I was able to just sit down and play without having to adjust stuff. Qui must've A/B'ed these babies a thousand times to get the feel and levels right. Building smooth transitions into a Sound set is a bitch! I haven't read the doc files just yet, but i'm definitely going to look up the instruction to make a donation soon.

I haven't used Mellfilous with Styles just yet, but I recorded a video real quick to kind of capture my first impression.

So are these samples or factory sounds that have been edited ?

these aren't custom samples.

Around 95 percent of this set was created from scratch. The other 5 procent were based on a factory sound, but in that case i only used those because it saved a lot of time to add the oscillators myself and i've got a basic Oscillator set up to start with. But that only applies to a few programs, most them were created from an initialised program.

The Korg Pa serie is one of the best keyboards on the market if you want to program your own sounds. This is because there is a complete substractive synthesizer on board in the sound section where you can create your own sounds yourself and it supports up till 24 oscillators which is a lot. There is a very large Sample library available which you can use to create your own sounds.

The synth editing possibilities can go very deep. For instance you can even create Wave Sequenced sounds in the synth engine. Most of the synths out there can't do this. In the video below i show a few of the synth sounds from the Melliflous sound set. The fist preset shown called: Distant echoes QR is one of the examples of a wave sequenced sound. You can hear me play and the original sample is changed to a complete another one when you hold the note and you can do this multiple times. And that's only the oscillator definition.

Then you have all the features for sound editing, like ADSR, Filters, LFO's and envelopes and a full fledged FX system. When you combine all those features you can create all kind of different sounds.

And of course you can use your own samples (or expand the existing sample library) by adding those to the pa4x. I do this too in my own studio. But for the sounds i want to create the current sample rom library is more then enough.

Another hidden gem in the Pa4x is the keyboard sets, most people are using it to store the three upper sounds and the lower sound for usage in a style. But you can also use those to create new sound programs that consist of multiple layers. You can combine those layers to unique sounds or you can create keyzones in them so that you can assign different kind of sounds to parts of your keyboard.

In the video below a few of the keyboard sets i've created

At 04:17 - 5:00 in this video i show one of the keyboard sets i've made called Ethereal Pad QR
It's a really impressive piano like pad with lot's of programming tricks to create a fantastic atmosphere while you play.

At 05:15 you hear the keyboard set called: Seq String QR
this one is an example of assigning different layers to different kind of keyzones, so that you can create different atmospheres on different kind of keyzones.

At 06:26 you hear the keyboard set Tine Piano QR
this is an example where i layered multiple sounds which were assigned to faders and you can bring them in at different levels.

At 07:10 You hear the keyboard set : GOT ensemble QR
a good example how you can use the keyboard set to create a complete song.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fh7PVSx5WrM" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media"></iframe>

Creating keyboard sets can be really fun, above examples were based on the combinations of the Melliflous sounds and reprogramming van several parameters in the keyboard set. To create those 'power sounds'. I can really recommend everyone to spent time creating your own keyboard sounds, it's an easy way to create using sound combinations.

And here's another example where i used one of the earlier sounds in a factory style (when i just got my pa4x), this one is entirely based on a factory style where i used the Ethereal Pad QR Keyboard set.

Wow,
that's a fantastic demo Sam CA, thank you for that!!!

It shows the sound set in a completely different way then my own demos and i really like it, especially the second part of your demo where you played the dry variant of the pianos is something i really like. What a great idea to change the soft piano (with the soft darker sound) to a more bright ambient piano in realtime during your play. Íts something i never do. This is something that i'm going to do for my own msuic projects in the future.

Very inspiring!

Wow. I could practice for weeks, and it still wouldn’t come close. The Qui voicing is great.

It's a shame you don't have access to a pa700 if it has a different sound set a mentioned above in a previous reply. Would love some of the above sounds for that. Don't know how to start creating.

Yes, it's a great set for sure. I'm sure you'll be able to make it work in your own way in no time.

Korg Pa4x Melliflous Sound Set Released! QR

I see this theme is very popular here. I have a little analyzed that set for my PA1000 and as i wrote before many of that will not match with PA1000 samples. I must say that Korg is very intelligent machine and it recognizes (and founds) the similar samples, but there are used in the sounds many PA4X factory samples that PA1000 will not found. For that i've made a Multismple comparison chart: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CrSnNf ... sp=sharing
And Robin, if You agree I will start that theme in PA1000/PA700 topic
.

And can we load/use it to an existing set without overwriting any existing sound?
Thanks
