Hi,
You should set up your windows completely new
A possible workaround :
Download and install "7-zip".
Then do a RIGHT klick to the .msi file and choose "extract to destination". After extraction is done change to the folder and try to run the included exe file.
Thank you, Snoopy, for your help, I really appreciate it.
I've tried it the way you described, but unfortunately still no luck.
I see three .exe files in the folder, but none of them works.
Time for a new computer maybe...

run exe-file as admin

Maybe "exe" will work if you start it as admin ("Run as" ..).

It's a shame that there is not a Mac (OSX) version.

Hello,
When I was at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, I only saw two PCs. All the rest were Mac computers or iPads. So these are genuine multimedia machines. And here Korg really fell asleep.
Otherwise, it is possible to install via Wine app. This is associated with many problems.
Korg, give the Mac version, please.

Hi Snoopy,
Thanks again, but I don't see the files you mentioned.
I've tried again two times with a new download from the Korg site.
Still no luck.

These are the .exe files I see after unpacking:
??
Not being able to install .msi files is a known issue in Windows 7 and 10 with certain computers, so I guess it's just bad luck for me.
I'm planning to replace this machine next year, so I will wait for that.
I hate to spend a lot of time solving Microsoft Windows issues... better spent playing my 4X!

Seems to be your Attachment Manager in your Windows-System is configured to get activated whenever you receive such attachments (zip-files with msi-files) from the Internet.
The Attachment Manager protects you against unsafe attachments and downloads by identifying the file type and the respective security settings. If it identifies an attachment that might be unsafe, it prevents you from opening the file, or (sometimes) it warns you before you open the file.
To open/unblock such files or extract contents of such blocked/zipped files, right-click on the file (Korg Songbook .....msi with 5.265 KB) and open its Properties. If there you get the message "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer" click on the "Unblock" button and then on Apply/OK.
So maybe you extract such contents, in case knowing very well that the file is from a trusted source and therefore safe.

Snoopy,
Many, many thanks for all your help.
I finally have a working SBE 3.0.
A suggestion to Korg USA: make a separate .exe file available for download.
With a workaround it now works, but that was quite a hassle.
There may be others finding difficulty installing the .msi file.
