What wonderful news. Trying the demo version right now. Wow... !!!! It really is a Triton. Brilliant.

Not to sound negative, but... where is the FILE button? Does this really not support Triton PCG/KSC files? Crying.. .. that’s the best part of the Triton that’s missing.

Sharp.

As was the case with the last time when KORG migrated from KORG User Net to KORG.com, which was messy, I cannot buy the upgrade to the Collection V2 which contains the Triton.
Coupon codes from KORG User Net are not accepted, yet they are mandatory if you want to upgrade.

Excellent - but -

1) As it is released it cannot read past PCG format Triton files!

2) They skipped the friggin O1W - arguably a more iconic workstation. Where is the O1W??

Yup, another flubbed launch.
My coupon to upgrade does not work as well.

I'll keep trying though, I do love my legacy synths.

yeah, really , how could Korg skip around the 01W ?

Here is my take. Its about the $$$$. Triton was a hit with the hip hop producers.

A Triton software version or collection has a bigger $$ impact today.

Of course, Korg 'should ' resurrect the 01W, it makes perfect sense.
At best, its a 2nd priority vs the Triton series. As I read my Korg tea leaves

I knew that I'm going to love this, but not this much. Could be just me, but it sounds a bit darker compared to my Karma, which is exactly what I've been looking for, fit better with my current type of music. Used to dream of a darker sounding Triton which has some of the M1's charm. This is it! I'm a big fan of the Orchestral combis, not for the realism but the playability, which blends nicely with synth material. To me that alone worth the admission fee. With so much samples/programs this is a layering monster synth. Especially with an fx section, which is the most comprehensive on a synth plugin. Resulting in some of the greatest and musical sounding motion synths, pads and synth/hybrid layers. Also see this as a super Drum Sample Player, with great patterns and a bit of arranger's trick for instant jamming. As a great song writing tool within a DAW.
