Yes, Greg, that's what I hope, too : seing Korg back to a real passionate creative "state of mind"

For the Kronos 3 all Korg need at a minimum is another slightly edited touchscreen in tilt or size difference and that's the new interface screen. Then Korg will add the new Nautilus style looking but slightly better UI menu that everyone is gonna love as relief from the current menu interface. Then Korg will add new sound models from a few of the older Korg synths, bigger HD and touted better variety of sounds and an interface with a DAW for multi-track recording because they have no other choice in the size growth and cheap SSD prices of HDs. They may throw in an optional SSD space to add bigger SSDs and some new features for navigation and easier sampling for larger libraries, and easier one button push instant access to any of your favorite menus. And workstation buyers are gonna eat this up because they got money to spend and this a new thing. Basically Evolution that never ends.

I've been thinking very similar thoughts for quite sometime now. Improving the UI, expanding the performance, interface capabilities, and storage, enhancing/expanding a few of the engines, and adding a few new engines after their legacy synths not represented on the current Kronos - would be the big ones to address. Instant hit.

there is a very long and valid wish list.

We addressed many of these in formal communication to Korg Inc/Japan. And they did not answer that communication.

Realistically, to cover many needs, we are looking over $4000 for such a w/s.

I am not convinced folks are willing to spend over $4000

Yeah, Korg really has no other choice. That the typical evolution of where they are now. Every new Kronos has to be better than the last one, otherwise they risk losing momentum and market sales. Really, all they have to do is rearrange the UI and make it ultra simple like FANTOM or Nautilus and add a couple new sound engines and new sounds and they can ride the current wave of Kronos 2 sales. But a Kronos 3 can bring in new sales for something innovative.
