i had the information that it takes 3 minutes to power up.
I just hope it doesn't have the same restart bugs as pa4x has

So, similar speed CPU and internal buses - no new updated hardware - 3 minutes!!!!!!!!!
3 times longer than my PA4X!!!!

Oh well at least my Kronos and PA5x when powered on together will both come alive at the same time!!

Any mention of a PA5x MIDI Implementation Manual?

..... thought not

(hmmmm... you can possibly sense a little frustration, sarcasm and anger in my typing  )

Unacceptable with today's hardware. Hope its not true. Juzisound 2 streams 256GB of samples and it boots instantly. My pc has 8GB of ram and boots under 3 seconds with Arch linux. Even my freaking triton boots instantly lmao.

Do you really believe it? Give me the proof.

Hi,
I recently exchanged my Roland RD2000 piano with somebody for his Korg Nautilus 88 and the Korg takes three minutes to power up. I think he found that quite frustrating along with the complexity of the Nautilus.

The RD2000 makes the perfect stage piano for those people that use mainstage or another host for VST…

The long load times of Nautilus are due to being old fashioned OS design.. could easilly be solved by loading an image at the start..

If they added kronos/nautilus tech to the Pa5x this could be the case…however the fact that the pa5x does not have an SSD but works directly from ssd cards makes this fact illogical..having no SSD, but working from an SD card (like the genos). Indicates the whole OS will be on static memmory.. allowing for fast loading times..

there are no drum Pads added to PA5x ? (i saw a fake pic probably with 16 pads on youtube etc...) but that could be actually nice addition for triggering global or per style loops and use as drum pads as well etc...

We still don't know the full range of using those pads. In my opinion one is mute/ummute track in style ora SMF.

Still no word on where ANY of this information originated.

Oh well, according to reliable sources we'll know all about it from Korg next week, or maybe next month, or maybe by the end of the year :?

Can't figure out now if all this is actually amusing or just annoying.

In Germany, the situation is such that the Pa4X is no longer available from retailers, although it is still fully advertised on the official Korg homepage (without a discount)...Bad

The link is to an amplification system for the Pa3x and Pa4x.
