My setup includes an FCB1010 midi pedal which sends MIDI messages to turn pages in MobileSheets, to select a songbook entry and to select a function in the PA5X (e.g. keyboardSet or variation).

I achieve this by using a midimerge device as explained in the attached sketch.
However, it works in the Songbook to MobileSheet direction, but not in the other direction.
This doesn't bother me as I prefer to select the input from the PA5x rather than from the MobileSheet.
I hope this helps.

From the MobileSheets user manual for Korg users:

Synchronizing the SongBook with MobileSheets Pro

Synchronizing SongBook Entries on the Pa with entries in MobileSheets Pro is easy, and can be done by assigning the same ID Number to each entry. When ID Numbers are the same, you can choose a MobileSheets Pro entry on the tablet, and the corresponding SongBook Entry on the Pa will be selected.
Conversely, with some models you can choose a SongBook Entry on the Pa, and the corresponding MobileSheets Pro entry will be automatically selected on the tablet. Which model supports synchronizaton from the Pa is shown in “KORG Pa-Series requirements” on page 3.

Entering the Song ID number
1. In MobileSheets Pro, create a new song or select an existing song, and access editing.
2. While in the MIDI Editing page, choose the Number command type.
3. Enter a Song ID Number matching the number of the corresponding song in the Pa-Series SongBook.
4. Turn On the Send on Song Load and Load Song on Receive parameters to activate syncronization in both directions.
5. Confirm and save the changes.

Thank you ExTyrosFan for your contribution.
You're absolutely right to describe the protocol and that's what I've done.
It works perfectly if I connect my PA5X directly to the MIDI interface. This means that I remove myfoot switch from my setup. In this case, I can call up a song in MobileSheet from my PA5x and vice versa.
It's only when I connect my FCB1010 that the problem occurs.
There's probably also an instability in the software of one of the components (FCB1010, MIDI Merger or PA5x) as it happened that suddenly I couldn't call up any songs in Mobilesheet from my PA5X and my PCB1010 didn't respond at all.
So I decided to solve the problem by buying an AIrTurn 500 bluetooh pedal and removing my FCB1010. I should receive this new pedal shortly.
Note that I'm using the Windows version of MobileSheet, which seems to be slightly different from the Android /IOS version.
