I don't have to mention that when you import a multisample or sample all previously loaded samples are still there
if you don't delete all samples and multisamples and also you can import the same multisample or samples in infinity times
OS does not recognize if are already loaded and are just added in preload memory as you load them ...

Just in case , for all that are importing custom resources !

Hi Antony,
I've did some additional testing in an empty sample memory.

TEST 1: import multisample in empty environment
loading a 12 Megabyte kmp file (mono)

Result:
12 Megabyte samples loaded
preload 7 Megabytes

Test 2: saving the samples on the pa5x and export them
then I loaded each of the samples (from the 7 megabytes preload internal, from the previous step) and save them separately

Result:
Preload 104 kb

So when you import my KMP file it obviously saves it with the preload feature on (even if the Preload is set to off)

test 3:
export the multisample with the correct saved samples on the pa5x and import it again

result:
perfect:
12 Megabytes on samples and a preload of 104 kb

test 4:
loading one KSF file from that KMP folder

That sample loads only 8 kb in the preload buffer

So based on these tests, I think that they have changed the way the multisample is imported (probably due to the copyprotect flag that is added).

I Export KMP files in KMP format from samplerobot and now the preload is very high for the samples, even though the preload flag is set to off.

A workaround is to import the multisample and then manually save every sample one by one in the pa5x after the import of the multisample. This solves the preload registration and you see after the save that the preload buffer goes down to the original value.

I'm not sure why your KMP files are working, maybe it's because the samplerobot files are in korg kronos format (although I always thought that the KSC / KMP format was identitical on all korg gear).

How do you import your KMP files?

My method is:
- open the sample page
- press the menu button
- select the multisample page
- import the multisample (the samples are added automatically and are mapped automatically)

First, THANK YOU QUI!

We have tested this in 3 weeks now and undarstood that we have the same result here to.
Export and resave Solves it, But i did not test Stereo Samples Since the PA 5 X does not export it in stereo, I wonder also how Anthony makes it, but since he is the only one in the world of PA models, he must have something hi knows more than anyone :)

As an Sound developer in so many years, he undarstands it , I,m only on step one here ;)

First of all do not trust SampleRobot & Chicken System KMP export algorithm , both have false code lines container and header ,
I have remarked it in Kronos KMP imports ...

We are always talking about generic KMP mono format that only Awave Studio software provides from PC utilities.
Korg kronos format is fully recognized and decoded by Pa4X & Pa5X , I have already tested it from last year , so your issue is the export
KMP file that has false code , that's why exporting and importing back MS this issue is fixed.

As I said , the only way to check individual sampling resources , open KSF files folder and import one , if this will show 8 KB preloading
buffer size then the issue is in KMP file code ...
KMP file has a lot of information like all KSF size , mapping , tuning , gain , etc !
PaSeries sound engine do not map automatically samples , this information is strictly in KMP file code !

Therefore Qui your method is correct but KMP container has false size information.

I suggest export SFZ format from SampleRobot and convert it to Korg A format via Awave Studio

Pa5X should recognize KSC format like Kronos in order to import real stereo paired Multisample , but it still does not , this is the solution.
At present time the only way we can do it is importing all stereo samples manually and do samples mapping.
Also this has no meaning at present moment since there is a serious bug in stereo samples compression that you will loose your entire work !

I have made Many Stereo Sounds / with stereo Samples, No problems, untill BUFFER Problems. (UNCOMPRESSED)
I did not lose anything, i have played with all, and everything is working, So i dont know if my Pa5X is from another planet or not? :) I will see whats behind this,

I did not Compress them, So I have no idea about that.

Will test it.

THANX ALL/Anthony abi
