Thanks Francois. When I've done this (I won't have access to the disk for a couple of months) I'll send them across so you can add them to the M1 file.

The files have been taken down because they contained copyrighted material and they need to be cleaned.

Ok, had no idea there was a problem with these files just posted the link cause it was listed earlier in the thread, perhaps the post with the renamed filename should be removed or has it?

Hello.

There was no need to edit your post. The links I did not delete did not work anyway. As for the files, they have been removed off the server.

I just need to get the time to clean them now and I’ll put them back online.

Kind Regards.
Sharp.

The copyrighted material consists of banks that used to be sold by companies a long time ago, such as PA Decoder, etc... I included this because it seems to me that it could be classified as abandonware, these files and rom cards not having been sold for over 10 years !

Secondly, and most importantly, none of these files are currently sold by whoever owns the copyright. I didn't put any file that can be bought from companies selling banks today such as Pro-Rec, Greytsounds (owner of SoundSource Ultd stuff), Kid Nepro...

Finally, some jokers are trying to make a quick buck on eBay selling CD-Roms containing banks and librarians for the M1, Wavestation and other synths. This gets on my nerves hence I'd rather KF members save their money and get the same data for free, which it should be.

The Legacy Yahoo group also contains this archive.

I don’t wish to kick off anything here, so I’m just going to provide some information and not get into all the details of emails, and copyrights because I don’t wish this issue to kick off into any sort of argument with the company involved or anyone else.
Secondly, and most importantly, none of these files are currently sold by whoever owns the copyright.
They are being sold by the owners in both their original format (ROM CARD) and as files for Legacy.

Not sure I should mention the companies name, but rest assured that they are most certainly very very well known and in the business long before I ever even owned a Synth.
The Legacy Yahoo group also contains this archive.
And now they know since you posted that here :-)
I’d suggest taking them down quickly and consider this all just one big mistake that needs to be forgotten.

Regards.

Can you be more specific ? I'd like to know what banks included in this pack are still sold today. PM is fine, thanks.

It would be nice if third-party synth patches came into the public domain 10 years after a synth is discontinued. :)
