Hi Gorilla,
I'm confused, probably because I never use the step backing sequence. After following your directions what do you end up with, a sequenced song or a style?
Thanks,
Jerry

Well Jerry, you end up with a BIAB/Pa1x patterned song. My thoughts are that when step writing in PA1x there is no sound. To input chords is a task. By performing the method I prescribe one can take any lead sheet of music, or original cord chart perform the task of chord progression in BIAB create a Midi disk place into the Pa1x and WALLA! you have a song with a Pa1x style, drum fills and variations and or intros. Have you tried it yet?
This method is good if you play by ear and or can create chord charts that you want to have the Pa1x sounds. Did you go to the "Create a Song Style" site I referred you to?

Hi Gorilla,
Thanks for your nice responce. I haven't tried it yet because if I wanted a style song I would work it out at the keyboard then I would go to Quick record sequence and play it. Or I would play it to my digital recorder and then put it back in my Pa1X as a .mid or mp3.
I have been to the "Create a Song Style" site. I have a couple songs posted there. Ron asked for some Pa1X songs so people could hear songs for that particular synthesizer.

No problem. I just joined "Create Songs Styles" yesterday. Nice site. I am amazed that there are no issues regarding singing "Cover songs" without legal backlash. I guess the difference is, is that no one is making money and the songs are not in the original version. Nice idea.
