So there have been 19 months since then and no reply from Korg Uk/US Japan or whatever.
I know that the majority of people here use only Equal Tempered scales and in order to overcome the transposition bug they just set Midi Convert Position to Pre-Midi.
On the other hand there are several scales that some of us use and if we set this Midi Convert Position to Pre-Midi the scale changes after transposition. This shouldn't be happening at all and seriously i can't see the reason for that being a deliberate action from the programmers.
All non-moss programs operate as they should but Moss Programs have this issue.
So can we at least have any comments?
Please whoever replies form Korg don't do that from a marketing point of view. We need a straight technical reply and if Korg plans to fix this. That's all

Nikos, I support you!
So me too I need a serious reply from KORG, too bad KORG are not aware what we can do with MOSS especially for exotic and non-western music...
If KORG hear my MOSS sounds I made lately for our Oriental music they won’t believe how real are the sounds!
KORG could correct the bug of MOSS transposing process during last years, I think they were aware of that, we do not need to tell them that anyway, However if they are honest, they should release us a corrected O.S this is the truth, so I hope I was frank.
I won’t be surprised if they still continue ignoring us.

Any news??
Nedim, just for your information. I remember that you have written somewhere (not in this thread) that this bug happened also to other instruments.
Well i don't know for Z1, Prophecy and Triton Classic or Studio.
However I am sure for the following.
1. This DOES happen to Triton Extreme + Moss
2. This DOES NOT happen to Trinity V3 (OS 3.1.1) (Moss-Tri which is the Z1 emulation).
3. This DOES NOT happen to Trinity Plus (OS 2.41) (Solo-Tri which is the Prophecy emulation).
As you know i own the above instruments so i have checked my self.
So still waiting for the news from Korg

Me too, in the studio where I recorded all my albums I use the above gears and checked myself too, it is only Extreme bug!!!

any newwwwwwwssssss.... this thing is annoying.... anddd i dont think it is hard to just fix the firmware... the only thing now that i am buying korg products is that i heard that they have great support for users and they produce high ended products...
thats why we need at least an answer from korg stating anything... or whether they are gonna do something about it... fixing this bug will for surrree help us and them by making us more loyal customers....

I would like to draw your attention to both problems that occur due to this bug.
Please note that the problem is not only the transpose but also the change of the scale that occurs after transposition.
Normally the root key of the scale should be automatically transposed to maintain the same scale after transposition.
This is what exactly is happening in all non Moss programs. You set Convert Position to Post-Midi and the Root Key of the scale you use follows up the Master Transpose. Therefore the scale is transposed tone-wise but it maintains its "characteristics" due to the fact that its Root Key followed up the Master Transposition. If you set the Midi Convert Position to Pre-Midi the Root Key of the scale won't get transposed so the scale will also change after transposition because the Root key won't follow up the general transpose.
In Triton Extreme Moss Enviroment we can not have both Correct Transpose and Automatic Follow Up of the Root Key to the Transposition at the same time due to the fact that
--Post-Midi state will make the Root Key of the scale to follow up the Master Transpose maintaining the scale chromatics but in the same time it won't be possible to transpose in semi-tonal steps
and
--Pre-Midi state will make semi-tonal transpose possible but it won't allow the Root Key to automatically follow up the Master Transpose spoiling the scale's chromatics

Please respond us, we are serious about such bug! except if you -KORG- find it an amazing bug, but not...it is a madness to keep us waiting for your blessing.

according to the observation in Triton debug mode, get yourself OS binaries v.1.0.5, open EXT01B18.310 in hex editor and change four bytes starting at 0x4D10 offset into: 0x43 0x3D 0x4E 0x00. Save the file and upload the OS...
Just kidding
I wanted to say that:
1. the bug would be surely easy to fix for programmers @ KORG Japan
2. the reason for no updates is that there is no support for this product anymore. That simple... or ... as simple as sad
Wish anyone involved good luck anyway

Even if what you suggest above solved the problem how would you change the checksum critical value so as the OS to be able to run without any problems?
Just kidding also lol.
Nor and I have been into that procedure for another reason. We used Hex Editors and Hex Translators to address and change some hex values.
Do you remember Nor?
Lol!!

Finally...sounds cool!
I hope we deserve KORG input about the bugy MOSS.
I really hope that KORG will fix the bug, too bad many people still can't believe what MOSS can do especially with emulating ethnic sounds.
Nikos: Yeah! I still remember the tricky boot display
but I could kill myself
hahaha!
