Without wishing to drag this thread too off-topic...
Decrepitude -
I did actually try that a while ago, and it worked pretty well - however, I was talking about circumstances when you'd be using the KP3 as MIDI master (in this case, the KP3 sending clock signals to my Gameboy). It would be useful if the KP3's samples could auto-align to the KP3's *own* MIDI clock...
Basically the only reason I'd like this is that I could throw away all my other gear and just gig with my Gameboy and KP3, which would be lovely....!

Oh, OK - I get it. Right - that would be nice.
Yeah, I was thinking about posting some new feature requests of my own, somewhat related.
I've been fantasizing about having another KP3 - even two more. But it would be a bitch to keep them all in sync.
I have already suggested (if I remember correctly) that the 'align' function could be controlled by a midi note. Furthermore, the 'align' function would transmit a note as well. This would help sync up multiple KP3's.

Once again; sorry for the bumps, but I added three requests to the wish list and one to the bug list.

thanks for canalizing this issue maako!
obviously, not many users are fully satisfied with the kp3 yet...
lets hope that OS comes real soon!!! or even better, that they open the source code!!!!
that would be my wish: opensource OS to allaow homebrew systems and to stimulate developpers to work for korg :p

KP3 System v2.0!
Looks promising! As far as my Japanese goes, heeh..
Will get as much translated as I can.
I doubt they covered
all our requests, but it's in the right direction!
Edit:
It's available at korg.co.uk too now!
I'm going to revise the wishlist as we find what they did and didn't do yet.

Here's my first addition to the NEW WISH LIST (Kaoss version 3.0)
1. Multi effect processor! Imagine if once you store all of your favorite sounds in the 8 patches then you can cue up 3 or 4 of these effects at once! All 8 would be nice but I'd be happy with eight.
Then again I know this request is really asking for some serious programing power! Still one can dream and place on this on the wish list.
2. Also another feature that is probably an easier fix is to be able to trigger the sample via midi controller (foot controller) in sample record mode. This would be very convenient once you hit the record button and then in the middle of your performance while both of your hands are busy (like playing guitar) you just hit a foot controller to set off on of the patch buttons to record what you are playing (like on guitar or bass).
3. midi map the sample/record button in global
All in all I'm very happy with the new updates we do have. Very exciting.
Thanks Korg!

It needs to be said - Thank you Korg for listening. Not all all of our wishes came true, but so many did and we are extremely grateful for that.
With other big companies (*koff*ahem*...Akai...*koff*) you have to wait forever to get an OS update - or at all.

I think this feature is now available in the 2.0 OS.. at least it was working for me last night.

niiiice!!!
true that korg is making me ALOT happier, i was about to sell my kaosspad3
midi synchro works ALOT better!!
but still not perfectly!!!!!
it's still tricky, it is like it realigns each 4bar... which gives my loops a little "click" sometimes.. and a funky undesired shuffle... is this tool only thought for DJ's ?????
the bpm display is super weird... when midiclock is in auto mode, after stopping the master, the display shows the bpm it was given. it shows with between -0.1 an - 0.2 difference from the masterclock, althought it is sounding "almost" in rythm (at least for longer than before)
it makes me wonder what would happen if the kp3 is set to masterclock...?
the loopeffect is alot more fun now!!!! and the trigger system seems realy cool! i only wish i could swnchronise those loops properly to the rest of the set-up....
all in all i'm very happy that my kaosspad3 is now "useable"
looking forward to OS 3.0
greatfully,

Sweet indeed!
But I consider this be a v1.5 update more than 2.0..
Not to take anything away from the good people at Korg. They listened to their customers.
And yeah, I agree with
decrepitude. It must suck to be an owner of anything coming from Akai. Their customers pay top dollars for a buggy machine that hardly ever get any updates worth even printing on toilet paper..
But, there are still things that can be improved or implemented on the KP3.
Sooo, let's start over an beg for features in the 2.5 update at
Wish list for the v2.5 KP3 update.
I haven' revised the old list yet, so please remind me what up and what's not..
Oh, by the way; Korg, did I say we love you?
