TR88 question - changing between sounds quickly

This is what I'm thinking, but the problem I'm having, is finding that group.
I find myself wondering if I could put my selections in C or D bank, even though I have EXB 08 in slot 1, (C bank) and EXB 01 in slot 2, D Bank.
Although I use a lot of the patches from those, there are patches there, in large groups, that I NEVER use.
Any thoughts?

I used a000-a00010 or such. None of the sounds in that group were appealing to me or useful to my type of music. Just consider what you make. If you are making trance, chances are you don't need horns etc.

In the first post you said you have TR88. My TR61 does not have expansion slots (except for sampling). Aren't they identical except key number and action?

No I have 2 TR 61s, and a KARMA, the KARMA is what I was referring to in that post, it's my "go to" on stage, the TR is mainly for Brass, and Organs, the KARMA does everything else, and some of the buttons are getting old and non responsive, so I'm tring to aviod those, and since it's the B bank button, and the 1 button on the numeric pad, life gets frustrating when I want to use patch # B111 for example.

Sorry if that was confusing.

there is a piece of equipment that has two rows of buttons that can be used for midi program changes and it's a very good midi controller (as Jens Johansson) http://hem.passagen.se/tkolb/art/synth/images/dx7.jpg

All Yamahas DX7 (and SY too) have one limitation: their keyboards send maximum velocity of 95 no matter how hard you hit the key.
