1) Maybe we should have the executives in Japan try to combine several sets! I hope they have a lot of time on their hands!
2) It is a negative sales feature and some folks will not but a PA until it is solved (along with the fill problems).

Korg Japan needs to know that they would make more money if we had this capability. Happy custmers help sales!

They better wake up a little...I have been hearing T3 sales is dissappointing! Yamaha has given people what Yamaha wanted...not what a lot of customers wanted.

I still think the answer is for EVERYONE to contact their distributors and complain loudly,,,maybe even in writing.

Question...is there a way to call Korg Japan?

If you feel strongly about this then please complete the user servey that Korg have launched from the web site www.korgpa.com and put in your own words:

Last question: "Is there anything else you would like to tell us":

"The biggest deficiency is the present lack of a PC based utility program that will allow users to merge SET files from several sources. Everything else is very positive, this is potentially my favourite keyboard in the world apart from that one factor that Yamaha and Roland do better."

Rob

I agree with Lee. It will definitely turn the keyboard into a new machine instantly. Even if they sell this software for $5, it will definitely pay itself in no time considering all the people who will happily contribute..

Thanks for pointing to the Survey Rob. Very important that everyone takes part as Korg are asking the Questions. Here's my Input on the last page...

"The biggest deficiency is the present lack of a PC based utility program that will allow users to merge SET files from several sources. Everything else is positive. This is potentially my favourite keyboard in the world apart from that one factor that Yamaha and Roland do better in the form of individual styles."

''Ideally I would like to see 'sets' removed altogether and single styles AS in Roland and Yamaha added in their place. Would not then need to develop PC 'Set merging software'.''

''Would like to see a style morphing facility also as in Roland''

Let's hope that Korg will listen. They have given Power to the People here, lets hope that the people use it! :)

Now that would be awesome. Then we could save individual songs in the internal or external hard drive.

Merging Sets on the pc - software

Post by mrniceneasy »

I've posted on the following thread regarding software from Mick Barry that I find will allow you to merge individual styles from different sets on your pc by adding them to a Database within the program XRM. It works for me and it's exactly what I was looking for..... I would be interested if other's found the program useful for them also with regard to merging Set styles on the pc...

Hi keith,

Yes, XRM is useful and it works with merging styles that only use factory sounds. But it does not work if the styles reference user sounds.

Hi Rob. That's good enough for me as I only use the factory sounds for styles that I load. I only use Custom sounds for styles that are permanent Resident's on my PA.
I think I've got a real result here with XRM as I have many, many styles on the pc that I've converted from my Yamaha days and I can now create my own Custom Banks with just the styles that I need. So, just Great and for me the Icing on the Korg Cake! :D
