This is very uplifting and I really look forward to many new sound libraries from Karo.

The Karo Philh. Strings is just amazing and I also love the "Oberheim" pads that comes with it. I have also yet to check out all the existing libraries that is released so far. I really hope for a Choir library sometime soon. If so, I would order it right away. And it seems like many other Oasyans are waiting for that as well.

Keep up the good work and thanks a million for the sound libraries so far.

One does not exclude the other. I remember someone listening to one of these more or less replicase of the 80ies but would have liked to get this sound.

Some of these sounds really still work fine in songs, with a little treatment here and there which you can only get within OASYS.

I really fell in love with the MOD7-enginge and I'm glad you will contribute to it. However, just went through the new KTC-library yesterday and there are several very nice Mod7-sounds in it. I think Mod7 goes far beyond the original Yamaha-FM-synthesis and would like to see more "new" sounds than replicas of 80's/90's FM. Don't get me wrong - of course I like these too - but I think you should not overlook the additional possibilities the Oasys offers. I know, you won't ...

Hi Charlie,

Check our KTC... There are a lot of new MOD-7 sounds :-)

Hi Peter and Guido,

Welcome on board... I listen the beta version of KFM ;-)

Hi Peter,

I remember with pleasure the time with EMU ... At that time I worked together with Dave Bristow and (EMU GURU) Kevin Monahan at the sound design for the EMU Morpheus and Vintage Keys Plus

Hi KARO Holding :P Hi Peter and Guido,

Welcome at the forums and thanks for your introduction!
At the NAMM show I met with Kurt Ader and listen already a part of the new Symphonic Library belongs. Top class! Even the Vienna people were thrilled by the sounds. Do you work well in this library with KARO together?

We wonder whether you had the chance to play a DX7 or DX7II or a compatible TX tone generator with the grand piano sound we were referring to. This might give a reasonably good impression on what to expect.
Hi Peter,
I owned a DX7 in the mid 80s, but to tell you the truth can't really recall the sounds i played 25yrs ago  :( . Anyway there is one Piano sound in the current list of MOD7 sounds that was programmed by a gentleman named Ski ( Peter Schwartz ). The program is called Contemporary Pianist SW2 - patch C021. There is something about this program that i feel if it was tweeked by an FM geneous it could be designed to sound incredibly realistic. Maybe? 8)

Dear Charlie,

Indeed, you are right, MOD-7 has phantastic abilities. Please allow us to comment a bit on your suggestions which are more than welcome to us.

What we wanted for the moment was a legacy/vintage sounding complement to the KTC. We believe that KFM are great for both stage and studio, providing both known FM sounds as well as neat spacy sounds which you might not expect from legacy libs. The KFM libs include nice SFX, unique sweeping pads using the foot controller for sound manipulation as well as stinging lead sounds, many of them bringing a quite unusual and unique experience, although they are based on the old school FM. My personal favorites are the Hammond emulations with warmth and Leslie, the Pipe Organs and the distorted guitars as well as the Oblivion pads. Kurt is particularly fond of the bellish and mallet sounds which have intriguing effects to pimp them up.

So, together with KTC we think that we now have a quite good coverage of unheard "new" and vintage sounds. It would be great if you agreed once you have the chance to look at and listen to the KFM libs.

Nevertheless, we will think about some more stuff which will be a further addition. Let's see what the future will bring...

Best wshes,
Peter & Guido

Dear tiger789,

We are glad that you are so supportive.

Now that the KFM libs are close to their release, currently, Kurt and Peter are polishing the KM400 and the next step will be the new symphonic lib. We will continue our joint work now that we are four.

Also, we do hope that we will find a way to develop and implement new EXis as well. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
