I don't think it is technically possible to just 'rig up a digital output'. on-board DACs will accept inputs in a certain format, you can't just pipe that out to some other kind of output.
The discussion has come up for the KARMA before too because that didn't have a digital output (or sampling).

If you're really worried about quality, you're better off investing in a good quality audio interface (or other recording solution) and decent cables.
The Radias runs at 24-bit 48k internally, as do many of Korg's other products.

Easier than hacking a hw digital output (almost impossible without pcb design plans) would be to get a copy and disassemble the firmware and write usb digital output support for it.

Some products are easy to hack (like akai mpc series) and have 3rd party firmware. I have no idea what the radias OS is like (depends on what kind of hw it has, ARM perhaps?).

In the old Canon DSLRS the os was ms-dos based and in the powershot series the OS has been hacked to create a ton of new features.

Hacking the radias firmware could be very easy or it could also be close to impossible. Depends on what they wrote it with :-)

From KorgUKSupport.co.uk

510370520001
Part Name: ROTARY ENCODER
Part Reference: EC16B242041S (D) L=15MM
Retail Price Inc VAT: £1.52

(Rotary encoder, the big white jog dial)

510374524021
Part Name: ROTARY VR
Part Reference: RV112BCF-40-20A-B10K
Retail Price Inc VAT: £1.52

(Variable resistor, aka volume pot)

Plus P&P.

Korg UK Support only supply to UK customers I think.

Price and part-numbers may well be different for you as you're based in USA. VAT = value added tax here in the UK.
The distributor for the Netherlands/Belgium asks € 4.5 Excl VAT for one potentiometer + € 7 for packaging & postage (seems crazy expensive compared to the prices you posted from the UK distributor).
Does anybody know another place to order potentiometers for the Korg Radias? the UK distributor only ships to the UK.
