Hi again,
well if I understand right, you are trying to record more than 1 program simultaneously with your R3 like it is usual on other keyboards/expanders. The R3 can play only one program. Even if it can play 2 timbres simultaneously when they are assigned to different midi channels, with 8 notes of polyphony there is not much left for real multitimbrality! (an example patch of such multitimbrality you can downloaded at my homepage
http://www.axxim.de/r3dias under Sounds/SE/JD-GaGa).
Practically it is better you consider your R3 as monotimbral and record each programm sepparatedly. You can look at my vid on
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7IkBQO6fec where I show a preview of the different programs I use and then i recorded each sequence one by one.
Regarding your crashes with the SW, I know its a pitty. It happens to me sometimes too. I don't know acid pro so I can't give you any hints about that. If you don't find a solution you may consider trying another SW.

hey thanks man...
Well, it aoppears that my SW crashes everytime I start to copy and paste midi segments when the r3 is on, I have been messing with the syning pref. and midi pref, and it still is happening. I couldnt even get abassline down for a track i started to make without it crashing. And not only that, my whole comp freezes.
Also, what do i use the r3 sound editor software for?
I have tried but cant figure out what Im suppossed to do with it.

Mind sharing the specs of your computer, if you know them?
RAM (memory), CPU (processor), sound card specifically.

Hi,
well I think it has to do with your comp (Windows?). Maybe you should try updating your soundcard drivers, check the audio drivers at all. Do you use ASIO or Direct Sound for your recording SW? Maybe you should even try another SW demo to see if this works better.
With the R3 Sound Editor you can modifiy and/or create yout own patches, it offers a better way to visualize its settings like on the classic analog synths with a lot of controls. With it, you can load and save patches as well as transmit/recive them to/from your R3. If you are going to download any patches you need the editor to transmit them to your R3.

hey thanks for the help guys...\
I have a crappy celeron CPU 2.53GHz w. 2GB of RAM.
Im using windows Xp.
And i think I have a SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio souncard?
I dont thijnk its my windows, because I have used acidpro6 for the last couple years and the only time Ive had problesm with it is when I try to use the r3. Ive had a triggerfinger and mic hooked up to it and both worked fine.
It happens when I try to record an midi, and then loop it by copy & pasting. Like soon after it will freeze. I cant even record my first midi and loop it to make a track.

I'd say it definitely has nothing to do with the R3 - sounds like a bug with your software handling MIDI. are you using the latest version? I'd suggest you check the software's web site for newer versions or bug fixes.
SoundMAX is okay, and your CPU and RAM specs are fairly okay, however the Celeron processor is a 'lite' low-power processor that lacks some more advanced features in order to make it cheaper and consume less power. it is basically a 'Pentium LE'. We always recommend people avoid them when selling computers where I work, especially if doing anything requiring any intense processing power or running the newer operating systems such as Vista or 7.
