I'm getting an FCB1010 this week and I'm wondering... It says it can transmit two CC messages at a time from each preset... Does this mean that one footswitch can be made to send two CC messages? If so, that means that the "pad on" and X axis value could be transmitted from one pedal, yes? And the Y axis can be one of the expression pedals?
So for the KPro, you could get notes and the KP3, you could get specific pad points... If I'm understanding CC messages correctly anyway.
If you send the X axis CC message with a value of 1, that will be the very left of the pad and one with a value of 127 will be the very right of the pad. Is this correct? If so, pedals can be set up with different values for the same CC messages and so making different notes. The 127 values of the X axis must be split up into as many notes as are in the currently used scale though, so 1 might be the root and 127 be the octave but then every 15/16 value points, the note will be different.
Can someone verify this for me? Or just tell me I'm way off? I don't understand MIDI well enough.
