What is the manufacturer and model of the usb midi `cable` product that you have? Have you checked for updated drivers from the manufacturers website?

1. can i connect to the laptop using USB-MIDI cable?
2. i have USB-MIDI cable, but my laptop or software cannot recognize the device.
3. i have installed the microKORG SoundEditor and it says "ERROR: No Device Found, Check MIDI Device Setting"

need some info. thanks.[/quote]

U shud be able to do it using an audio interface with midi in n out, don't forget to install the driver of your audio interface ,then connect the midi out from MK to midi in of your audio interface, then check the routage of your DAW in the preference menu and check if the midi in is recognised by the audio interface, the only thing is i think your will have to record your audio and midi message on two different track , cos you will have to record your midi message on a midi track and the audio on a audio track basically, then i presume you will have to use a sampler to re-use it the way you want, cos i don't think there is a direct way to automate the MK from any DAW, if that make sense.
