Well, if anyone is interested in getting Korg Radias controller - let me know, I have one almost knew and would consider selling it.

What do you guys think of the Korg N5ex as a controller? It has aftertouch, which seems like a plus, isn't terribly expensive. Its not really a workstation... I was also looking at the x50, but it doesn't appear to have aftertouch, does it?
Another question, if a workstation or synth I'm looking at comes with a lower polyphony than the radias, am I limited by its polyphony, or the radias's? I've been sort of confused. It would make sense that you would be limited by the synth module you are using at the time.

Forget the X50, worst keys in korg history, terrible sound, terrible interface IMHO

Polyphony is only to do with the synth engine that is making the sound - Radias can only play sound for 24 notes at a time. Less if certain features are enabled.
The N5Ex on the other hand I don't know, lets say it can only play 16 notes at a time. IF you lean on the keyboard it will still send every note-on message over MIDI, but obviously the receiving module is unlikely to be able to play all of them.
So if you're not using its built in sounds then you're not losing out. The N5Ex does look like it would make a nice controller - the same as any other 61 key synth.
And no, the X50 does not have aftertouch.

I can't seem to find any good deals for the Korg Karma, no one is selling them locally on craigslist, and the one's on eBay are either very expensive, or have large scratches on them (but maybe that's not a terrible thing).
Well... maybe I just need to save up and get one. I guess the other thing I'll have to look at is weight. The nice thing about a regular midi controller is that they seem to be extremely lightweight for carrying around. My keystation pro 88 is something I don't think I could haul anywhere. That thing is a beast.
Do you guys know of any other companies that have similar workstations (yamaha, roland), or is the Karma really the best? *Sigh* And now I see things like the M1, the T1 through T3, and so on. They all have aftertouch, and they go for good prices...
On a side note, once I get the power adapter for my Radias, I'll show everyone how I mounted it on the keyboard stand. It's a bit rudimentary, but it works.
