What do you mean by 'not as well'?

Speaking of pedals, I was wondering if my Yamaha FC7 expression pedal would work on the Kronos. I found this post that says it works with the M3, so I imagine it will work with Kronos as well.

I hope so - I've ordered one as part of my £200 of free gear with my Kronos pre-order. I'd be really grateful if somebody could confirm one way or the order, so I can change my order in time if necessary.

If you can still change your order, why wouldn't you order a Korg EXP2 instead of a Yamaha? At least you would be sure it will work with a Korg kbd.

I think the FC-7 is a better pedal - if it's going to work okay, I'd much rather have it than the EXP-2... assuming it works okay. I'm pretty confident that it will be compatible, but confirmation would be good.

Be careful. Do a search and you'll find that the FC7 doesn't work with Kurzweil. There are differences in curve---linear vs. logarithmic---and resistance values.

Thanks Sina - it's good to know I'm not going to have to exchange it.

Thanks Jim, but I had a look and it looks like the Kurz issue isn't going to be a problem with Korg.

The FC-7 is not only one of THE BEST pedals out there for the money, but it'll work with any keyboard that'll except a TRS expression pedal input. It's a universal pedal and it's not just for Yamaha keyboards.

And there are a few keyboards that don't have the TRS jack, but they are so old, it doesn't even matter anymore.

You'll be fine with the FC-7.

Sina
I have 2 FC-7 pedals that I've been using for volume and leslie on and off for my Motif ES7 but can't get them to work on Kronos. Anyone else get these to work? What were the settings you used?

Thanks

Did you get the Yamaha FC-7 pedal to work? How did you assign it? Can'r get mine to work yet.

Thanks

My Yamaha CP33 sustain doesn't register with Korg keyboards, tried it on M3 and TR6. Reversing polarity doesn't make any difference, it's completely off the radar. I have an old Roland sustain that I use, reversing polarity in Global. Also used a Casio Privia sustain, again reversing polarity.

I can't get the FC-7 pedals to work with the Kronos. I also called Korg. They couldn't get them to work either.

So I am guessing you're wrong about "You'll be fine with the FC-7."

Anyone else get these to work?

I need to get 2 new pedals. I want one for volume and one to turn on and off the Leslie. I read the Korg EXP2 is kind of cheaply built and it might not hold up. The Korg XVP- 10 seems substantial and almost twice the price. Anyone use these?

What do you suggest I buy for my application?

Thanks for any help.

That's strange, I've used the Yamaha FC-7 with both my Triton Extreme and my Karma and they worked perfectly. I don't know ALL the expression pedals available but they're certainly the best I've seen so far. Really rugged, smooth action, good usable angle.

I would suspect it's probably a settings issue, not one of hardware compatibility.
