Well I think this is indirect confirmation that the earthquake did affect Korg production. I couldn't be sure since some of my company's Japanese suppliers were and some were not. In any case, I think a little slack given on our part would not be uncalled for--for both Korg and their distributors.

Let's give it a week and see what happens.

I stopped into my local GC today and they advised me they had 1 73 Key in stock at one of their locations. I was able to return my 61 Key within the 30 day window and I couldn't be happier, even over the 88 key I initially wanted! I couldn't be happier! Thanks GC!

Could this thread also apply to those who ordered PA3x from GC? I haven't ordered one myself, but their website only shows the PAAs available but not the keyboard itself...little strange

Well, after a pleasant talk with Cassie last week, I received a notice this morning that Guitar Center has cancelled my order. When I spoke to customer service, they said they can put me back at the end of the line.

So from number one to end of the line...this is bullsh!t!

I ordered in March.

I received a notice this morning that Guitar Center has cancelled my order. When I spoke to customer service, they said they can put me back at the end of the line.

Unbelievable! What reason did they give for cancelling your order? I talked to my rep Friday and he asked me if I wanted to cancel and I told him no. I just checked and my order is still in. Please let us know if you find out why they did this or find out any additional information.

They said they are required to cancel backorders by the FTC after 30 days...which is a rule they must seldomly follow, since I have been backorderred since March 5th.

I did get one notice in May stating I needed to contact them to keep the order, which I did.

They said they had sent another notice this month and I must have neglected to open the email thinking it was just another of their standard backorder notices...my grave mistake!

So, watch your email inbox more carefully than I did.

So far I haven't been able to find this notice, but I get so much email I don't store it for long.

Would a phone call be too much?

Anyhow...I haven't yet reordered, as the steam hasn't yet subsided.

Absolutely not. I guess you bought online. I ordered through my guy at the local store. He did call me Friday when he found out it was not shipping. Of course I was way ahead of him on that one. I assume he would also call under your conditions. Right.

I'll keep a close eye on my email until I drag the box in the front door.

You might call Cassie back and see what she can do. Your deserve something extra for this added grief!

So has there been any update on actual deliveries?

If they were to be shipped July 15th, i'd think people would have them en-route to their houses at this point?

Unless I missed some key bit of information.

(While I didn't order through GC, my local dealer is going to get a verbal lashing if another shipment goes out and I don't get one considering I've been #1 on the list since the list existed!)

Middle of August is what is being said...I am thinking when they get here, they get here.
