I'm also interested to know what kind of problems this device have, as i'm about to purchase one soon. So far , i haven't heard anything but good reviews about it.

You could always go with Akai Synthstation 49. That's even more robust way.

BTW, IOdock works flawlessly. I've been using it for three months and haven't find a single problem with it. Except for some apps that don't support CoreMIDI.

Personally, I did, before I bought it. People have two kinds of problems with it:

1. It doesn't really work with iOS 5 (not directly Alesis's fault but... ok, a very valid complaint, they're working on a firmware upgrade). Which is why I don't have iOS 5 on my iPad, among many other reasons.
2. Earlier versions of IOdock didn't come with iPad 2 plate so you can mount iPad 2 on it. I don't really think that's been the problem for anyone in quite awhile.

Other then that, the only problem I've seen with "it" is the fact that some applications don't support CoreMIDI. Why oh why people that produce music applications do that is beyond me. Again, not Alesis's fault.
