intermittent touch pad fails for Kaoss Pro

still in the shop
So, I took the device to the certified Korg tek in Richmond KY. It's been a month now. He says Korg still hasn't sent him the pad assembly. Yes, he has determined that the unit's entire pad assembly required replacing. He also said Korg has two policies, replace or repair. He said he was surprised Korg didn't just offer to replace the unit.
Do you think over one month in the shop is typical? I couldn't find any contact information to query someone at Korg about why they still haven't sent out the part....

going on two months waiting on part
Last week the service person said that the pad assembly replacement part was still two to three weeks back ordered.
That will mean in the shop for over two months....
