I've got that happening now. I just set them to MIDI ch 2 and the sound that I want them to control to the same channel. My lead sound is on the keyboard itself. Now I just have to look at that thread that tells me how to use Karma to hold each pad. I'll get there. I'm nothing if not persistent!
My guitar player wants to let everyone in the band take a solo. I'm not really into the idea I must admit. Drum solos and bass solos are, well, usually very boring to me but it's his band and I'm willing to give it a go. My idea is to start with an Octavarium type idea but with totally different sounds of course and flow it into something that introduces the other members of the band one by one until we're all back on stage and let everyone have a section to lead. Essentially a prog-rock instrumental with a longish keyboard intro.
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
Gear: Kronos 73, Wavestation EX, Polysix, King Korg, Monotron and Monotron Duo, Minikorg, Moog Grandmother, my very old MiniKorg, 4 acoustic and 9 electric guitars, 1 Ibanez 5 string bass, a Steel guitar, a bunch of microphones, 2 pairs of studio monitors and other very cool toys, 1 wife and 4 cats and a lava lamp!
