Translation?
Maybe it takes months for them to be happy with the translation to the English language version of the firmware????
Has anyone asked Korg for a release date?

Re: Translation?
The system firmware update is English only! and is working perfectly on my eu microSTATION, so there shouldn't be any problem with others.WhistlingFool wrote:Maybe it takes months for them to be happy with the translation to the English language version of the firmware????

As far as I know there is no other languages used beside English LCD as system firmware worldwide.
Only the update release note pdf is in Japanese.
They just have forgotten it and lost in translation!
I'm currently waiting for a reply from KORG US.

I'll try to translate/guess. Words I'm not sure of are in (?). And also it is not 100% accurate. Also, I'm using my own words / understanding / interpretation / guess of the document so there WILL BE ERRORS.
Until I have the time or find someone to help me with the accuracy.
So to satisfy your curiosity, this will be for now...
GENERAL:
=======
- When renaming, being able to use NUM LOCK 10 has been (Corrected?).
BUG FIX: When using accessory disk, some error regarding loading the PROLOAD.PCG into MS Editor has been fixed.
BUG FIX: Program name scrolling gets screwed when some program change message occurs through MIDI, while in the middle of a scrolling display. Fixed.
BUG FIX: ?
ARP:
====
BUG FIX: With Global Mode, when the ARP of the program etc is running, ARP GATE KNOB does not work.
COMBINATION MODE:
=================
BUG FIX: Thru COPY PROG, GM VARIATIONS/DRUMS Program Bank Number can be wrong. (?)
BF: After INITIALIZE while in COMBINATION, the CATEGORY may not be able to select USER.
SEQUENCER MODE:
==============
FEATURE(?): Using the NUM LOCK 10 a new song can be created as follows:
1. Display the song number page. Usually at the start it is 000.
2. Press NUM LOCK. Use [1..0] to input new song number. For example 010, press 1 and 0. To continue, press ENTER.
3. Create New 010 OK? When pressing > a song 010 will be created. Press < to cancel.
FEATURE(?): Preset Template Song when init tracks, can make drum track.
F(?): MIDI Clock(?)... when recording (?).
.

.
TBContinued.
Apparently you can do stuff with NUM LOCK 10 key.

This is something I'm interested in knowing what exactly they fixed. I've been having endless sync problems with the tempo while trying to slave it to my DAW, or vice versa, even after the update. I don't know what it is exactly, but there's three different tempo modes, Auto, Manual and Rec, but once one option is recorded, it screws up how the others operate. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but 50% of the time I'll try to record something and the tempo ends up bouncing around during playback causing some notes to be off even though the MS screen says it's not changing.
