Maybe an idea (assuming you don't want to sell any synth), is to use e.g. strings only from one synth, organ for another etc. That way you can easily split your keyboards in 'functional groups without the need to continuously ask yourself which to use. First make a list which sounds are best per synth.

Michel, that's a good idea. Actually, I try something like this, but sometimes I expend a lot of time just trying one or another synth. I really need focus.

For the most part I play the keyboard "solos" on the Fantom while I use the Oasys for Strings, Oberheimpads and everything else exept from pianoplaying which demands all 88 keys. And for that I use the Clavinova. So the last octave is usually not that critical

All the keyboards, piano, samplers and recording machine etc. is linked/synched together via midi so start/stop and use of location points on the Fantom sequenser means exactly the same on the VS-2480CD etc.

This midi thru box below is very handy and prevents any chance of delay in the midi chain between all the units. And btw, the DR-880 have been replaced with a Roland TD-20X V-Drums module since this photo was taken.

Yep, I have always prefered "physical" faders and knobs instead of endless mousing around in a computer/sequenser program. Although, as you already guessed correctly, the PC Keyboard & mouse are used both for a regular PC (hidden to the left side under the desk) and the VS-2480CD. That little box under the two little speakers (to the far left on the top of the desk) have a little switch so that I can choose whether the keyboard/mouse and screen are going to be used for the computer only or the VS-2480CD. That way, I don't need two screens etc.

In fact, I am not quite sure. It's some years ago. But either I bought it directly from ebay or from this website:

And btw.. yep, I have even more Marshall's right behind the wall where the keyboards are (below) and some more in the basement as well. My neighbours are like 80+ and seemed kind of worried when they saw me moving in here 8 years ago with these amps. But I am a nice guy who usually don't play that loud Not in a huge apartment complex anyway. That's what I have the THD Hotplates and the 3 Marshall SE-100's power attenuators for.

That is the reason i never composed anything...up till last year i had 17 keyboards
a dn now i still have 11...forget the millions of patches in VSTs, i own almos whole
of EWQL and NI line...all i do all day is just browsing patches...and next day...
all over again.
