ofcourse i have =D

Its a good setup depending on what you're aiming to achieve: KP3 for effects to keep looping patterns more dynamic. or using it to loop a phrase at the end of a pattern to transition smoother into the next pattern.

and i DONT have an ESX, I have 2 EMX's.
for samples i usually use my Roland SP-404 which i sequence via MIDI with the EMX.

@sjwilson3821: if you ever need any advice dont hesitate to PM me

Thanks man I will definately take you up on that. I was thinking I will run kaoss pro through esx to the kp3. Any thoughts Ive been working doubles and haven't had time to try it. :(

That's a good starting setup for building samples and patterns up. I'm assuming you'll be sampling stuff off the kaossilator pro. lovely thing about gear is you're never limited to only one way of setting things up. maybe once you've built up some patterns and samples then you can try using esx -> kpro -> kp3, using the kpro to live loop and overdub parts from the esx.

experiment. you can achieve many different things from different setups. all depends what your aims are. live-play/production/jamming... etc

I downloaded a couple sample packs with some really nice sounds last night. When I get home today I am going to load them up to esx. Im surprised at how much I enjoy it. It's a little scratched up on top but still works perfectly. Do you or anyone know where to get replacement parts. I just need to replace the red top because I am very picky about scratches on my instruments.

The scratches add character!

I would like to get a different color other then redish pink. I really don't car for it. I was hoping their was a third part company that made aftermarket colored ones maybe with images or designs on them.

Check out this thread. Bowmoney and I were chatting and he mentioned a custom skin for his tribe. Granted it was an EM1 but maybe wherever he got it from also has skins for the EMX/ESX models.

Lmao. I just found this site right before you posted it. I am definately going to use this service. I want my esx to match my kp3 and kaoss pro. All black :)

Yeah I was fiddling with it myself and the black skin definitely makes it sexier....
Unfortunately, I own EA1 and ES1, both mk1, and they arent supported by the site. At some point I intend to upgrade to the ESX, though, so when I do, I'll def push some cash into that service...

post some pics for us whenever you do get the custom skin

I finally got my EMX yesterday. Dude redefined shipping procrastination. No manual, box, after market power supply, and wasn't the SD model as described. Works great tho. With all three units together it's like audio candyland.
I was wondering if buying a set of JJ, or better, tubes would give me a noticeable difference in the sound? I don't really want to spend the cash as I'm trying to find a reasonably priced Zero8 or good mixer.
