Thanks motic! I checked out the midi channels with the korg uninstall drivers utility, and it showed that one of them was corrupted. I removed that one, reinstalled the newer kronos driver again, and all of a sudden, they could see each other.
Of course, I had a look at the editor then, only to wish that whoever put the ensoniq sq80 and its manual together was working for soundquest. For its time, the sq was as much as a monster as the K is now, but it was so easy to work (off a tiny led screen), and the manual was in english that made sense.
Next up is how the K works with sonar and project 5, but first I've got to go squash training, and I guess I might be too tired for anything after that.
kronos and editor won't speak, any suggestions?

If you select the checkbox and unchecked it, it will reveal the midi channels available. Select your midi channel for Kronos and hit okay.zzz wrote:Lou - all the pref boxes I could find were one each for midi in and out.
