that's one spot where the KP3 is better at sampling - it does 16 beats all the way down to 74bpm

I still stand behind what I said before: a kp3 is more along your lines. The KoPro is more expensive, and besides, its more geared for building up the preprogrammed "synth" programs than looping. With the kp3 you'll get lots more for looping, and at a much cheaper price.
Its either that, or go for some of those other loopers and foot pedals that have been suggested.

I think the KP3 is a good choice! Just bear in mind that the KP3 synths and drum machines are pretty limited - you will probably still want external sources for some of that stuff

kp pro as a looper
well.. there are two big flaws in the kp pro looper:
1: as opposed to the kp3 u cant stop the loop and restart it from scratch, it always repeats from where u stopped.. this is bogus
the second seems a memory/cpu issue.. it has this weird count in after u press rec. i goes 2..3. 4..
or 3...4.. 5
lets say ur jamming along to someting and u press rec without paying too much attention t o the (i always take my loop rec start as the one) u might end up having ur loop start at the 6..
i find this very annoying..
nice is u can start with an ultra short loop 1 or two) and the extend the same loop to 4 8 or 16.. and it just repeats the short bit u recorded
